Putting aside all reservations about what BMW may have in store for Alpina brand, one can only wish for serious engineering investment which results in "have to buy it now" driving dynamics.
Even higher resolution screens - please delay ...

Hmmmm…
I may be in on this. Maybe will have the new V8 redesign?

Welcome back, 8 series. Again.
05-13-2026
Another reskinned 8 series?

Porsche wants their rear end back!!!!
🤮🤮🤮

Maybe this is what the Petersen museum in LA will debut? They’re having an event next weekend and unveiling a “new car”.

Looks like a combination of the Skytop and Bovensiepen Zagato. Either way, can’t complain about a GT car in this day and age.
Long live the 8 series, whatever skin it wears.

The fact that they’re still interested in tourers and coupes in 2026 is enough of a reason for me to hold out hope for BMW. No matter how it looks, at least it’s not another lame SUV/Crossover/“Coupe” SUV

that rear shot looks pretty sick

Definitely feels like a reskinned 8, but that’s not a bad thing. Be great to see it with a powerful tune of the S68
I’ll be at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este next week, looking forward to seeing it!

This is the 3rd Concept in this family?
Skytop
Speedtop
Vision alpina
I feel like bmw wants to bring the 8 back for the fans of thier more classic design but can’t get enough signal that the business case will work so they keep chipping away at different strategies to gauge interest and target the right market

Adrian van Hooydonk posted a teaser on his Instagram.
Hard to tell but the illuminating front (grill?) appears to be different from the 'leaked' images.

I also believe that it will be a reskinned and updated 8-series Coupe (influenced by the Speedtop and Skytop limited edition models) with the new ALPINA identity in terms of performance and luxury towards the GT axis.
I am expecting the S68 with mild hybrid and updated interiors with bespoke leather.
This is the reason BMW silently killed the 8 maybe to release the production line for the new ALPINA GT concept.
And maybe that was the initial reason now that ALPINA is owned by BMW that BMW will follow the Neue Klasse designs while ALPINA the Skytop design languages.
So maybe the new ALPINA brand will be an option for many of us who might want a performance oriented BMW with extra level of luxury and comfort at the saame time in the future given its new approach.
That in my opinion is AMAZING news given that it will be influenced by the Skytop and Speedtop limited edition cars and that the new ALPINA identity is not just a front lip and a logo on the steering wheel, but dedicated models.

For the US market? Or same Chinese market version?

Engine is going to be revised, so I hear

Much better than any recent BMWs. Fianally some design improvements

Got a little Porsche in the back. I’m loving this …. Very sexy. Probably out of reach for me, I don’t think I can convince the wife to add a 8th car into the stable at the moment.
Any idea if this brand will ever make it our
North American market?

😍 Helloooooooo Alpina! 👋🏻
05-13-2026
This is a one-off concept, the side mirrors are clearly not from a production-ready car.
So I don't think we see this in a configurator or showroom to buy anytime soon if ever.

Let’s hope they don’t put that awful curved display inside this otherwise beautiful looking car!
