Hit Callaway drivers my whole life (Have the Mavrik now) - so considering this years Elite and want to try then new Ping G440 Max.Needed a new driver. Well, not really..heard great things about this being a fairway finder and I loved hitting it when I was testing it out a few weeks back!

ShopVac wroteYeah...don't really need it but I am so inconsistent when hitting my driver that I am willing to change things up to see if it works. I ordered the Mini Driver on 2/9 and it still hasn't shipped from TaylorMade yet. Everything in stock over there so I am not sure what is going on.Nice - I'm in the same boat. I am playing my first round outside today of 2026 after hitting on an indoor golf sim for the past 3 months, should be interesting to see how things translate to the real world! lol.
I have heard good things about both. I feel the Ping G line is awesome and I have hit the G440 Max driver last year while on vacation renting clubs. It's very forgiving and was able to get majority of my hits in the fairway. Can't ever go wrong with Callaway though! Their new lineup is supposed to be spot on!
We (three couples) flew over to French Polynesia for a week a couple of days ago (a day in Tahiti, five days in Moorea, and a final day in Tahiti) as a quick, fun getaway.
I made the fatal error of not paying much attention when The Girls said they were going to go shopping for "black pearls", as other than a few nice watches, I'm not much for jewelry.
Unfortunately, the Minister is.
That..... was a fairly expensive mistake.

On the plus side, the Minister and I came to an understanding that there will *no longer* be any snarking about how much my track tires cost or how long they last.
The necklace and pearls are very nice though (Grade AAA)-- and it was *much* cheaper purchasing them in Moorea than it would have cost from a dealer in the States.

PS: Moorea? Highly, HIGHLY recommended.
To paraphrase (and slightly mangle) the words of Ferris Bueller, "If you have the means, I highly recommend [going there]."
It's a bit under three hours farther than from the West Coast to Hawaii-- It's VERY worth the extra time to get there.

We studied on two choices: Toyota RAV4 Hybrid or Honda CR-V Hybrid. Yesterday was test-drive day. The Honda lists for several thousand more but there were some outstanding incentives.
The Honda won. If all goes to plan, she takes delivery this coming Friday.
Happy birthday to your daughter.
Llarry wroteIf I had to replace my GLC300, it would be with a Honda CR-V Hybrid. My daughter is coming up on age fifty in a little less than a month and has never owned a new car. Her mom (my ex) and I discussed this and decided to get her a very special 50th birthday gift: A new vehicle.

Can I ask about the incentives? It's ok if you'd rather not say.
M_Six wroteWell, I think they are regional, so these would be for the Pacific Northwest and ending Feb 28th:If I had to replace my GLC300, it would be with a Honda CR-V Hybrid.
Can I ask about the incentives?
-- $1,000 discount from the dealership
-- $500 military discount (Must have me on the title as co-owner and must present DD214)
-- $1,000 from Honda as she is trading a competitor vehicle (Toyota RAV4)
-- $1,300 from Honda Finance for financing the vehicle (I plan to finance the minimum of $5,000 for 36 months and pay off the loan in a few months.)
That "ending Feb 28th" is a bit alarming, but I am a repeat customer at this dealership. I gave them a $500 earnest money check. If the March incentives are better, we'll get those. If the incentives are less generous, we have the option to walk away and get the $500 back. Come Tuesday I plan to either google the current incentives or call the dealership to see what the scoop is. Fingers crossed...
I just sat in the back seat for the test drives but thought that the Honda was a bit roomier -- and a bit better looking. The online reviews for the CR-V seem to be pretty good as well.
I've never been a Soundbar kinda guy. But... After watching several reviews for this particular model and grabbing a crazy nice sale, I grabbed it. WOW! It sounds amazing!
The camera setup was for my Unboxing video.
This has to be one of the most rad things I’ve seen in person.
EDIT: Loving the new laptop. And Apple makes it super easy to set up. It basically just transferred all apps, files, and settings from my previous laptop. Same soul in a different body. Windows used to have a similar app, but got rid of it for some reason.
Pick them over the Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 for the comfort and thread wear ratings.
I bought a set of prefab brackets from KC that are made to mount to a ford raptor with the plan of modifying them to either weld or bolt onto the ECS bracket I use to mount my oil cooler and lights.
Current setup:

I realize the Purple drives are for surveillance, but small dedicated NAS drives are practically unavailable or super expensive. Large drives are available, but they were already pricey before the current shortages caused by the AI mania. This whole setup came in at just under $400 delivered and it will give me the chance to play around with Unifi's Drive 4.0 system. My current NAS system is Synology and I'll be sticking with it, but Unifi has some interesting features I want to explore.

Btw as a real Southerner (not a damn Texican or Georgian or some other faux southern East coaster), Hellmann’s is 100% the correct mayo, with Kraft Mayo being a very close acceptable second. Anyone who gives you grief about Hellmann’s is a know nothing heathen, and very possibly a communist
.And you can tell them I said so.
