Herdalum wroteThanks for the side by side. It actually makes the grill look more proportionate here as others who have seen it have mentioned.Tracked this down today and parked my f15 beside it.
When compared to each other visually, the msport looks so much nicer especially from the back. The reflectors on the rear bumper on the xline are placed lower and are in fact around 2 inches longer. They also emphasize the plastic black bumper which looks really cheap in my opinion.
Here are the pics i took.
ScottMZ3 wroteGood point Scott.Shouldn't those 741M wheels be staggered? Those rear tires don't look like 315 width.
The carbon black makes the x5 look smaller than it actually is. I took a couple shots in partial sun, and i was really liking the deep blue tone in the color. When i looked at the white x5, i hade to double check those 19" because they looked really bare and skinny.
Point is the black color hides the width of the x5 making it look like it small but its not. The 741 are staggered with 275 front and 315 in the rear that is a massive tire. Between the color and the lack of msport brakes it tones down the contrast effect to the wheels in my opinion.

Also I noticed the exhaust finishers/cutouts are larger on the MSport. I like it!
I'm not liking that silver-grey rear bumper piece on the x-line. That, removing the chrome edge trim, and the larger intakes on the front nose make the m-sport worth it.
Just found this. Great pictures.
