Hey! Sorry just saw your post.

Is that a diffuser or a rear bumper spoiler lip?

How easy/difficult is it to install?

It’s a rear lip spoiler technically but they call it a rear diffuser.

Very easy, 6 screws at the bottom and 2 plastic rivets that you need to break. I got some from Amazon and work great like the stock.

By the way anyone knows where I can buy the Carbon Fiber diffuser for a reasonable price other than the $900+ range that most stores/dealerships are selling it at? I found tons of gloss black ones on eBay but none as CF

I had it installed at a body shop my dealer uses (across the street) before delivery. I'm not that handy LOL and I had some other bits done too.

It looks very nice! Is it the exact copy of m performance rear diffuser only in black not carbon? Or is it another type of diffuser?

Personally love the subtle M Carbon diffuser. Adds a nice touch without too much.

You could fit the lip but it would probably look strange because it’s one piece and the trailer hitch would have a gap with the lip underneath the gap.

Paid around $1100 from the dealer, also had them do the install before delivery which was nice.

Hey there. Did u dothe install yourself? Was itdirect bolt on? Did u ha to remove the metal bracket begin the original diffuser?

I've got a white X6 with the OEM tow package and the tow area just doesn't flow well with the rest of the car.

Being that the bumper itself is the dark shadow WB27, I'm leaning on a painted gloss black as shown below or going with a color matched diffuser in dark shadow. If someone knows a custom shop that can mold a tow cover I'm open to that too.

Can anyone please post a pic of their painted G05/G06 tow diffuser?

Hello. No I did not install myself. It was installed at a body shop when I bought my car. Sorry I know nothing about its installation.
