I want to have this dashcam installed in my 2022 X5 xDrive 40i. I have the Original BMW Installation Instructions (the accessory is:
BMW PN 66 21 5 A44 493 for my vehicle), which says the installation time front and rear window camera retrofit is approximately 2.0 hours and an additional 0.5 for a rear window in the tailgate (which I have).
I checked with my local BMW Dealer and they are telling me that I do not have the latest Installation Instructions. They have the latest in their EPC and it is 7-8 hours install time.
Does anyone have the latest Install Instructions or have access to those instructions from BMW EPC?

I have and use the same one you have I don't know what they talking about 8hrs for installation time the fuse box on the passenger side is what I use and like you say 2hrs complete.

Did you install yourself or did the BMW dealer install?

yes I did my installation myself no dealer like I say follow the instructions that you have that's the same instructions that came with the unit

Did you have the dealer update the vehicle software after your install?

no I did not ask them they always fine a reason why they can't or looking to charge you so I don't ask the dealer to do nothing for me unless it come with the vehicle package

euroactive inc he's on eBay I payed $699.95 USD plus $29.95 for shipping I couldn't find it in the USA so got it in Germany for me ask for Justin tell him cupid from Brooklyn tell you about it

My local dealer's price is lower than your Brooklyn dealer and no shipping charge.

Just out of curiosity, why are people focused on this particular dash cam (other than the fact that it has the BMW logo)? Is it somehow more integrated with the vehicle than what is provided by third party dash cams?

that should be the case. i installed mine few months back but the guy who did it, does not remember if there was a special need to program the vehicle just for the cam. he program it anyway, so... i think the most important thing is, that the car battery does not get alarms about consumption. i had a thinkware mounted, also by professional on my previous m40i and i was receiving car battery consumption alarms all the time.

I have a 3.0 ACE Pro now.
Can I put a larger micro SD card in it and what kind of micro SD card must I buy?

I can't make a wifi connection with the app on the smartphone. I've tried everything. Shut down carplay but still the connection won't succeed. Any suggestions to fix this?

Do you have the Instructions for Use that came with the kit? On page 18 it shows 32 GB / 64 GB/ 128 GB. Mine came with 64GB. After the Dealer installed the 3.0 ACE Pro, I changed the SD card to a 128 GB.

They provided no manual but I downloaded it now. But the manual is very limited. No trouble shooting. I still cannot connect to wifi so I have to put the sdcard in my computer.

Also the radar in parking mode looks to be very sensitive. I think I have to set it to the minimum setting.

It is faster to look at the data on your Mac/PC. Motion and G sensor default setting is in the middle. I set mine up to the lowest on motion but leave the G sensor in the middle(parking mode). I may have to disable the motion since it is kinda useless if set to lowest. Middle setting fills up the 128G in 24hrs.

Just updated my ACE 3 firmware but dash cam screen stays dark, trying everything suggested by CoPilot to no avail. All 3 LED lites when car starts and it says Driving Mode Started even in Park. Help please 🙏
