Getting ready to say good by to a old friend. This F31 M spec has been one of the best cars I have ever owned.

We try to grab a new one like this every year.
Since there's usually at least one vehicle change.

I did. Had it for 3 years and really didn’t drive it much as it didn’t fit well into my lifestyle (commute to work, active young kids, etc). Went for one “do it all” vehicle and very happy with the Cayenne at this point in my life.

Do you use Continental DWS as your summer tires on the M3?

They`re awesome all season tires. I use them on one of my car as winter tires. They are fun to have as winter tires. They handle great in the snow and at the same time you can have some fun when you want.

I`m only asking because I find that if I push the car in dry pavement they are not as good as summer tires.

I'm in a weird spot with tire choice.... I had plans for separate winter/summer setup, but wanted to run all-seasons because of how unpredictable chicagoland weather is in the spring/fall seasons. Then ended up just keeping the all seasons on - but now we're talking about a 3rd car for winter driving so I may end up just keeping summers on the car.

Totally get the all seasons not measuring up to summer tires on dry pavement. But I suppose since I haven't been tracking the car, for spirited street driving they've served their purpose well.

I have the Conti DWS06+ on my 23 8C year round and love them. They grip and handle as well as the GY summers that came stock and I’ve done a few short spins and power slides with them. If I have any disappointment with them, the wet traction isn’t as good as summers, but not terrible by any means. Plus they’re so quiet and comfortable!
