In the last couple of weeks, I have not been able to see the tire pressure function on MYBMW app. Has anyone else had this issue? I have a 2019 40i.

Thanks!

have you done anything to try to remedy?
reboot phone?
log out > log in app?
telematics reboot?

Yes, to all the above plus uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Still no tire pressure. Also checked the app on my wife's phone and she doesn't have it any longer. Must have disappeared with the latest update to 4.5.2.

This sucks. I had Trip information for about a week, then it disappeared, now tire pressure.

I wonder, since my connected drive service expire and I signed for the yearly subscription for connected drive if tire pressure monitoring is not part of the package.

There's a data privacy setting that may have been reset that must be on to get data OTA. Someone will remember where it is, right now, I don't.

I'll check that but after last remote software update I made sure all data privacy boxes were checked.

I’ve been on version 4.5.2 since it released over a month ago. I still have My Trips and tire pressure so that’s not the issue

did the loss of said data coincide with your ConnectedDrive renewal? I won’t be able to test if they’re connected until late Dec 2024 when my subscription expires

this has happened to me on more than one occurrence when Data Privacy settings were updated OTA where the settings were reset to default “no service”

Car > Settings > General Settings > Data Privacy

I have all services and analytics checked in the data privacy section.

I am not sure if the tire pressure disappeared when I renewed the connected drive subscription at the end of March. I may have checked it while on a trip in May but I am not sure.

I've done a hard reset (70 seconds) and I am supposed to wait at least 30 minutes before checking again. I will post update after that.

UPDATE: After waiting over an hour, I started the X in order to get a new update to the app. Logged out of the app. After logging in still no tire pressure info. I will open a ticket tomorrow with connected dirve customer support.

I know the tire pressures can be absent for a minute or two after "updated from vehicle" via a horn or door lock. Never had mine disappear for longer than that.

I don’t have a disappearing pressure issue but today, I got a notification that my tire pressure is low and is recommending a tire pressure that is higher than the max tire pressure that is written on the tire sidewall (50psi). It’s telling me the recommended pressure is 51 for front and 53 for rear? How can the car recommend a pressure that’s higher than the max allowed by the tire? I have continental Contitracs on 22 inch rims which are obviously staggered. The tire setting is correct in the iDrive menu and I’m not exceeding the max tire pressure that’s stated on the tire itself.

My guess is that your tires are quite hot. That max cold pressure assumes room temperature and physical laws means the pressure does go up about 1#/10-degrees F, so especially if you just came off of a drive, or it was sitting on hot asphalt in the sun, the suggested pressure could be higher.

Did you ever find out why the tire pressure left your app ?

The only way that seems to be working for me to update any "current status" in MYBMW app (including locks and tire pressure numbers) is to do "3D View Update".

Just refreshing the app by swiping down and looking at progress spinner - doesn't actually refresh live status, never did. Granted, I only own the car for a couple of months now (CPO 2022).

Unlocking does update not locking.

any time there’s a change in status, the Home Screen time/date stamp should update, e.g. locking, unlocking, preconditioning, etc

swiping down the screen if there’s been no actual change in vehicle status won’t update the time/date stamp. why would it? the stamp reflects the last time there’s been a change in status

Quite simple actually - my car is parked quite far away, where I cannot easily check it in person. Assuming that realtime "push" status communications are not 100% reliable (can we really guarantee that it is?), I would like to check the current status, at this time - as if I was looking at my car personally.

It's like checking email - if email pictogram is not showing any new mails, it may mean that there's no new mails - OR - it may mean that update failed. :) So I would expect to have an option to update the state manually.

What I do if I wonder whether things are actually up to date is send a command like flash the lights or honk the horn to the vehicle. When it responds back that it did it, you know the current status is correct. With just looking at the app, there is an indication of when the last status was received from the vehicle, and if the vehicle did not sense any change, it won't randomly just update it. If everything was polled frequently, you'd also be eating up the battery just like being on your cellphone on a call. There is some turnaround time, as your cellphone is talking to the BMW server, not the vehicle, so a command goes from your phone to BMW, from BMW to the vehicle, and then reverses that with the status. It could be faster, but that would take lots more bandwidth, and cost to BMW for not much real-world benefit.

This fixed it. I did a reset and my pressures are back on the app. Thanks
