Murf the Surf wroteThe same stupidity I've seen at my gym. They're going to a place to work out but people will drive around looking for a close parking spot or even better, they park in areas where it's not a parking spot. These areas are right in front of the gym marked off as fire lanes. Yet, they'll park there because they don't want to do extra walking before they actually work out.The mall is my favourite place to watch the stupidity. People will drive around for 20 min to get a spot close to the building and the spot is inevitably too small and they can't drive worth a shit and can't park in it properly. They are going into a mall to walk around for 2 hours but won't walk an extra 100' to where there are lots of empty spots.
I always park way out in the distance where there isn't anyone, exercise never hurt anyone but without fail when I come back to the truck some clown is jammed right up next to it with tons of empty spots all around. You can't fix stupid.

In 1990-95 I worked at the National Security Agency (NSA); they have amazing technical intelligence sources and methods. But I am duty-bound to take the secrets to the grave with me, so you and the others will just have to trust me on this matter. On the other hand, it's a good thing I'm all the way over here on the Left Coast, lest you send me to my grave a bit earlier.

tcphoto wroteThat's outrageousDespite getting a picture of his (borrowed) vehicle and tag, State Farm kept my deductible and the arbitrator said my witness was not neutral.
-- did you cancel with State Farm?
tcphoto wroteI doubt I have the pictures, it was almost 20 years ago, but I had a hit an run, too. I had a “1-of-1” Camaro SS with about 11k miles on it. Everyone knew it was my car, and I had it parked in the parking lot when I got the call to meet me at my car. I thought it was a strange request and cryptic at best. Came out to find it parked diagonally across nearly three spots with them asking “why the hell did you park like this?” Clearly you’re not a detective; look at the left rear corner dented in with broken glass and taillights all over the ground! Boy was I pissed…How about being the victim of a hit and run while parked in my own driveway? My former loser roommate with a suspended license walked to a convenience store and an impaired guy offered him a ride home. That's when he dropped the loser off, hit my car and ran. Despite getting a picture of his (borrowed) vehicle and tag, State Farm kept my deductible and the arbitrator said my witness was not neutral.
