The idea crossed my mind. However, the F95’s bumper has different exhaust tips placement which would need to be factored in into the exhaust design

So question is if Valvetronic’s muffler will allow fitment with both bumper models (G05, F95)?
I’ve got the VD full catback on my F95. I believe the spec is different from VD’s exhaust system from an f95 and g05 due to the difference in OEM fitment. I sold my f95 comp exhaust to an owner with m50i after I got the VD one. I believe some modifications need to be made in order to make it work. There’s a member on here did this retrofit and he posted a video as well. When I saw the video, I thought the exhaust sounded better on the m50i than on the x5m comp.

Can confirm that you can run the exhaust with the stock bezels in place, but will not be able to use the tips they provide. Additionally, whatever position you leave the valves in when you turn the car off will be the position they are in whe you start the car next.
Hopefully they are still open to doing a group buy now that this thing is live online!

I’m not sure if it’s officially live. To find the product you can only search it. Using the drop downs and trying to enter the vehicle does not net a result. I think a group buy will still happen, I have purchased other products where an already released product is made eligible for a group buy.

It’s now fully available to order
They’re in stock & ready to ship.

Sounds tempting. Do we know if valvetronic is approved by BMW? I think I've read that somewhere.

I would prefer to hear some sound clips before purchasing anything. They keep saying “coming soon” on that.

I second that. Im inclined to do the deed but a couple of things are missing for me:

Sound clip
Installation review
If it throws any errors after installing it. I see it has its own custom valve controls.... once you disconnect the oem valves do the new ones go into the same connection? will that throw some kind of error? If anyone has any experience in this last part....illuminate me please

There is, I am waiting to confirm the correct code they will provide. Been a very busy week for me and I have not been on much.

Was just sent this for the B58. Will try to get the M60 version. Also, they informed me they are still working on the group buy discount.

Any word if there are any sound clips?

How does BMW view valvetronic in terms of warranty?

The only issue I can think of regarding aftermarket valves is that since they are not automatic anymore you need to mostly keep em open. Logically Im thinking if they remain close the gas is going to build up in the system and probable throw an error. It would be nice if one could set the close setting to not fully closed to prevent this from happening.

I guess I assumed the valves would function as normal OEM but there would be the option to open/close if you wanted to via remote. Is that not the operation?

This is correct, it functions as oem, you just have the ability to open and close them. Essentially when in a closed position the air flows through a baffled chamber, quieting the system. When open it flows through a more free flowing chamber, just allowing louder sound and the air to exit quicker.

This is not how it works. Think of open and close as air flow being directed, not prevented from exiting the exhaust system.

You are changing the exhaust system, so you will void the warranty on any exhaust related issues. BMW must prove that a cat back exhaust caused the issue. Highly unlikely a cat back exhaust will (stainless steel/titanium pipes) will cause any harm to your vehicle. Much more likely to have issues changing your intake box vs a catback or axle back exhaust system.

Thanks for the reply, yea I figured as with most. I was wondering if any companies have warranty approved systems. Ford Performance has them and was wondering if there was any similar.

Do you know if there are any clips of the valvetronic exhaust system for the m60i?
