OK bought BU and did their hard-to-find anti-dazzle coding cheat code. Doesn't work.

Did FA(VO) coding of 5AP out successfully too.

Then went into expert mode on the much easier to use expert mode in BimmerCode and coded all the lines that have been listed within this entire thread. Still no worky.

I've got the headlights on AUTO and the auto highbeams enabled but they only go to low beams when there's traffic or a car in front... No tunneling like I've seen in videos.

And the laser lights are freakin weak. I have to intently look for their activation.

Any ideas?

Did the cheat sheet have parameters for the KAFAS4 module or just the BDC?

Oh cool, I'm glad YOU contacted me. I was going to get ahold of you and see if you could walk me through it to see where the error is or what is missing... For a nominal fee of course. I know I'm probably only missing 1 or 2 things, IDK.

I coded all this stuff after doing FA code of 5AP using Bimmerutility on Android:

Also C_FLA_CC_MESSAGE_3 --> _CC_message_active to noCC_message [00]
and COUNTRY_VARIATION to Europe_Rc in KAFAS4

And NO part of any of this works. I've rechecked that 5AP is unchecked and it is. I think my limitation is Bimmerutility for Android. This sucks and I've wasted WAY too much time AND money on this.

You can only make so many changes in BDC but I recommend many others in different ecu's.

A bunch of those are in the KAFAS4 module. And many of them were already set to “default“ on the ones that say that is what the setting needs to be.

I copy/paste that info from another post to make it easy.

But what do you mean by “make so many changes in BDC?" Is there like a maximum? Because I did other settings in there for different stuff that I cannot recall off the top of my head.

This is frustrating because I have successfully coded the other 99% of stuff I wanted to modify, but the ONLY thing and biggest thing I cannot accomplish is the anti-dazzle LOL!

Any experts out there to help code a my 22 40i with lazers? I tried bimmercode and it didn't seem to work to anti dazzle. Any more tips to share?

Not sure what you did with Bimmercode as you can easily activate a faux version but you may want to contact Ben r33_RGSport's user avatarr33_RGSport as he can do remote coding for you.

Thanks Turtle!
I would like to try the faux version myself using Bimmercode. What is the best list of setting you are aware of?

Do yourself a HUGE favor and have Steve Ma @ codemybimmer code it for you. And the traffic light thing and speed limit assist or whatever it is called. Super painless and your stuff will work right.

This seriously is something you should not go cheap on.

I highly recommend Ben with r33_RGSport's user avatarr33_RGSport. He coded my '22 45e, and with 6 OTA updates and 1 dealer update the coding has not been wiped out (YMMV). He did code TLA, but it got wiped after the first OTA, and I didn't get it re-coded as I felt it didn't work as well. Only because our traffic lights here aren't the same (vertical and horizontal) so it wasn't registering them all.

I have used Steve a few times (OTA updates removed Steve's coding) for the anti dazzle feature and he is great. Contacts you right on time and is fast with his coding.

It is a combination of know how and correct software capable of necessary changes.

I am about to get back into an X5, a 2026 one, and I have no idea how to code it.

On my current G60, I managed to do it with BimmerUtility and after the first major update, the anti-dazzle worked. But, as I tried also on a 430i, you make the change with the BimmerUtility, and you are not writing it as compared to the G60, where it also wrote it.

I don't have an Android phone to use ProTool, as mentioned earlier in this topic.
