GCat212 wroteThanks for sharing. It sounds great. I’m about to do the exact same install on mine. I wasn’t sure about the Red Star secondary downpipes but your video confirms it’s the right decision. Finally got everything installed. Love the way she sounds. Finally aounds like the V8 beast she is. Valves closed aounds slightly deeper than stock which is great bc I gave a 2 year old lol

Did you get the heat shield on the downpipes?
GCat212 wroteAny vids of just the secondary DP before the valvetronic went on?Finally got everything installed. Love the way she sounds. Finally aounds like the V8 beast she is. Valves closed aounds slightly deeper than stock which is great bc I gave a 2 year old lol

IL X5 M60i wroteNo, I installed both at the same timeAny vids of just the secondary DP before the valvetronic went on?
lazyb0ne wroteThe vids don’t do it justice, sounds much better in person, i guess recording audio on the iphone isnt all that great. Usually not a big forum poster lol but seeing the frustrations I had finding vids of these components both separately and togther, which i could find ZERO lol figured id help some guys out.. Very happy with the results from this set up!Bro thanks for the share! I've been trying to hear the real deal from a member. It sounds great! Def need some fly bys. In person, do you feel its a lot louder? Do it have the rumble?
Bucksn6 wroteI thought the same but since its so new I don’t even think thats the actual picture. I took a look as installer had it laid out on the floor as he put in piece by piece. Finish was surprisingly very clean and mirror like, no ugly weld, actually didnt notoce any. I do know that exhaust went together with a bunch of clamps. Also was a few extra pieces, I believe euro models are slightly dofferent so probably in case a different bend was needed. Annoying that remote did not come with a CR2032 battery, had to run to a CVS and buy one lol Quality looks awesome tho, Install seemed seamless and no fitting issues, and sound together with the secondary’s is all i imagined plus more. Couldn’t be more pleased in every aspect. How was the quality? The pic of the exhaust on the valvetronic site honestly looks like ass. Lots of welds of what appears to be random pipes they had laying around to make a system and even a point after the X pipe where the exhaust is crushed a bit. Before I drop 3000 on an exhaust, I’d like to know that it’s a mandrel bent, full stainless without a bunch of mangled pieces just slapped together.

Were you able to program the buttons on the rearview mirror to operate the valve controller?
GCat212 wroteI'll try and get some better video today, my 2024 X5 M under throttle sounds similar to yours, maybe not? Finally got everything installed. Love the way she sounds. K9-44 wroteno but it comes with 2 remotes, keep it in the console and press to open or close, pretty easyThanks for posting the video. It really helped confirm my decision on having the same setup installed on my car. I’m just waiting on the exhaust to arrive at the shop that’s doing the installation. I’ve been told it should arrive around June 4th.

GCat212 wroteI was able to setup the mirror button. I use the centre to put in closed mode but have it setup to be open on startup using the remote to set that up.no but it comes with 2 remotes, keep it in the console and press to open or close, pretty easy
aussieintexas wroteThank you for sharing. I currently only use one button so I hope that I can program one to open and one to close the valve.I was able to setup the mirror button. I use the centre to put in closed mode but have it setup to be open on startup using the remote to set that up.
I’m still waiting for the Valvetronic exhaust, red star secondary downpipes, and JB4 to arrive at the shop that will be installing everything. Then I’ll be having everything installed at the same time so my car spends less time at the shop.
WTXRob wrotenooe. i disn’t add any tips. Actually sits and looks exactly like the stock exhaust did due tot he way the bunber is cut with the exhaust inlays. Obviously openings are bigger than oem but no tips needed imoAre there tips added to the exhaust? I was under the impression they didn't.
WTXRob wroteThe tips are now 3" inch on the valvetronic muffler.Awesome, thanks for clearing that up. It looks and sounds great!

My main concern is that I have a young one too and his bedroom is right above the garage where the X5 is parked.
How much louder do you think it is compared to stock with the Valves closed?
Tobster3 wrotewith the valves closed its a very very minor difference compared to stock, which is great option bc i have a 2 year old myselfAppreciate the post man! Sounds do much better!
