Just checked in with Genius...they confirmed Production Week 29 (July 13th) for my Individual Build.

I have an individual color Xdrive 40i on order since March 31st. I was given a production number right away when the order was placed. I was able to add the car to MyGarage that same day. It has been a waiting game since.

Currently on status 111 since June 18th after being 102 for months. Originally scheduled production week was Week 30. Just called the genius line and they are saying now it is week 39. But that is unconfirmed and subject to change.

Mine is currently holding at week 32 in status 111 (confirmed with my weekly call for an update today) again after around a month at status 112 for week 29 (after originally being estimated for week 23)... our orders must have gone in with the same round of allocations at the end of March. I guess we keep waiting and hopefully if it is week 32 we will have vins in 2 weeks... holding my breath.

Hopefully week 32 ends up being mine as well. I was a bit disappointed to be told week 39 now today. I understand the individual orders take time but 6 months just to production seems excessive. I custom ordered my Audi during the pandemic and that took 6 months until delivery but it also had to travel from Germany to the west coast while experiencing a hold at port for a software update.

I have received my VIN and Genius said that the build should be completed on July 22nd. Original order for an individual color (Night Blue Metallic) was placed on March 24th.

Now that you are in 150, you can verify the production date using the "F12" process or Bimmertrack.

I guess we don't know until we actually see things built, but any thoughts?

Yes, that is usually the case. They have multiple Individual batch weeks. Given these are the first of the MY it makes sense that they would be a few of them fairly close together.

Do you happen to know if the specific colors for individual color orders are batched together? Just curious to see if my Melbourne Red is maybe causing mine to get pushed further compared to perhaps more popular individual colors.

Ah that might explain it then. I am guessing Melbourne Red Metallic isn't as popular so it keeps getting pushed while they wait on more orders to batch together. Bummer

I don’t know about this. I can certainly see some of these colors being one of one or very close to that. I doubt they wait until they have a few of the color. But that's just based on my thoughts, nothing concrete.

Melbourne Red is the color I am going with so I wonder why my build week keeps getting pushed back I took over an existing allocation back at the end of March
