What's up guys, there doesn't seem to be much out there from guys during installation and after installation. I come from the performance world of lots of shared information and shared ideas there seems to be a lot of aloofness here... maybe that comes from the fact that guys just pay shops to do their installations and they just don't know... Let's change that shall we?

I have already installed Evolution Racewerks catless secondary downpipes on my car (a few weeks back) last night I installed the MAD exhaust valve controller (took about 10 minutes). The car is so freaking quiet I can't stand it....

I have been sent out a set of Primary and Secondary catless downpipes from a well known manufacturer to test fit for them. I will attempt to install them this week and I'll document all of that here and post installation as I navigate tuning my mini cats from Big Daddy... Oh ya I'll be using the straight mini cats from Big Daddy...

I'll document this with pictures and videos. Hopefully this will help guys, these parts can be easily installed at home without paying a shop.

I did both, primaries and secondary catless downpipes with the addition of a JB4 map 2 and drop in bmc filters. Sounds amazing at wot. Power is great. Just i didn't record a video of the sound before and after. Do both, you wont regret it.

How are you dealing with check engine lights?

I install a Leib Exhaust Can Pro for eliminating the CEL.

This doesn't work on LCI's? Right?

The mini cats were delayed, next weekends project now :D.

Mini cats were just delivered, here are some pictures below. I can't help but imagine a world were leta say these don't work for a CEL, why can't we make out our material insert to duplicate the factory material or close to it? All Big Daddy did was glue an insert in with some high temp adhesive?

Would you say it's worth it to install the secondary cat deletes? I have the mad valve controller already hooked up, and secondaries ready for install.

I'm not looking for the most agressive sound on this car. I know I'm not going full cat delete. Looking for some volume and more interesting tone.

I haven’t done the secondaries yet but have a resonator delete and it sounds pretty good for $150. Nice deep sound around town, at startup and at cruising. The problem with the LCI is the sound goes flat at high rpm. The pre-LCI used to get loud at high rpm and would “bark” between gears, especially 2-3. I am not sure if secondaries will help increase the sound more in my case.

Thanks for your thoughts. Much appreciated.

Secondaries will be installed over next few days. Will report back on results. Sound like I may need a resonator delete next…we’ll see

Did you go with an xpipe or straight?

I did straight pipe. It has a slightly more raw, raspy tone than x-pipe, or so I’ve been told. I had this on my pre-LCI too.

Got the secondaries installed in conjunction with valve controller. Improvement in tone and small improvement in volume. Happy with it. I’ve had several fully straight piped ttv8s…not looking for all that this go around.

Will it keep me happy? Hopefully, but TBD.

Ok, i'm reviving this thread...

I had a baby and own my company so I have been working just insane hours (60-80) a week...

Anyways, I will review the install and post install of the MAD primary and secondary downpipes for the LCI. As I've stated above I already have Evolution Racewerks secondary downpipes installed, i'll remove them to install the MAD units.

I am also going to chronicle my tuning pursuit of this car. I have been in tough with every US based shop that supposedly "tunes" "calibrates" the F95 LCI although unfortunately, no shop has actually tuned one, ha. They have all been happy to take my money though which ranges from $7,500-$8,500 which includes a Femto unlock. I'm currently exploring all avenues... it would seem that most of these shops are actually purchasing tuning files from European shops...

One way and if I'm being honest "The Way" is to use WinOLS, read the factory tune file which generates a HEX dump which is basically random numbers with tables which have no descriptions, no values, no real direction... Once this is done testing and "mapping" of the binary file happens (hundreds of hours). I'm not really all of that enthused with spending $8,000 to tune my car but there has been ZERO info from BM3 or MHD regarding testing, development, progress other than a random video of a G90 on a dyno from middle of last year, theres just nothing. I have reached out to Protuningfreaks through the proper channels of inquiry but I've received no info.

Stay tuned.

OK, MAD Catless primaries and secondaries are being installed tomorrow... I welded the the bolts on at the primary/secondary connection point. Not sure why they don't come tack welded from the being as it would be a pain to hold one side and tighten the other when doing it by yourself...

Will it shoot flames now with the lack of cats?

Tuning…good luck. I’m curious to read about how that goes.

Ha, doubt that but itll probably sound good for once...

I'm quite convinced there isn't a single F95 S68 that is actually tuned in the US, none of the approved Femto shops that can flash the DME9 have ever tuned one. I'm exploring BR-Performance in Europe but i want to tune this thing on the dyno to gain a baseline and to see what actual gains are not just BS advertised numbers. I sure wish BM3 was working on these cars but they aren't not in any real capacity.

Any reason why you removed your ER secondary over to MAD?

Last year I agreed to be a tester for this generation F95 (S68 LCI) and unfortunately i just never had the time to install them...

Also had an issue today, the flange on one of the primary downpipes were bowed out resulting in the spot welded bolts being several degrees bowed out... typically this shouldn't matter but in this case separating the secondary from the primary wasn't doable on one. I tried to tighten the nut to true up the flanges but when I went to back out the nuts everyone was pissed off... the bolts sheared right off, quite a big bummer.
