What a great spec! Thinking the air suspension will help the rougher ride of run flat tires. I'm the week after you and still at 111.

Wow so it moved back to week 2!! Nice surprise. Not sure I could wait another few weeks/month or whatever it is for PCD. Especially as long as you waited already. I see you're in NC. Did you go through a broker and a non local dealer? So you can't set up the PCD date until it's finished? Hoping mine also gets started early.

I looked into both. After considering them all, I decided to go with Omar Saleh at BMW Macon, Georgia. I actually contacted him among 9-10 others. He came highly recommended to others (shoutout to Timmer-Bimmer's user avatarTimmer-Bimmer). I live about an hour west of Charlotte, and I was told that the dealers are essentially under the same ownership and getting competitiv deals would be difficult given that you are going through a virtual monopoly.

Based on my interaction, I could see why others really loved to work with him. He was very responsive and gave me his one best offer off the bat. Everyone else was either not even close or just matched it, by scribbling numbers on a piece of paper, unlike a formal invoice that Omar submitted to me.

In terms of PCD, usually the dealer you went through and PCD center in Spartanburg will reach out to set this up, at which point you will be given dates/times for delivery. You cannot proceed with PCD delivery until everything has been done at the dealership/sales level.

For me, PCD was a no brainer. Spartanburg is about 1 hr 20 mins versus driving 3-3.5 hrs to Macon.

PCD makes total sense!

StealthCruiser212325's user avatarStealthCruiser212325 Omar is indeed the man. I picked up my ordered 540i about 6 wks ago and he gave me a heck of a deal with everything committed to up front.
Enjoy PCD. It’s a great experience. Photos when you get it. Can’t wait to see that color.

As I recall you got a VIN on 1/9 so wk of 1/19 is likely.

+1 as it is a 2.5-3 hr drive to Greer for us versus 4.5-5 hrs to Macon. I flew to Spartanburg for the last PCD via Omar. It took longer to fly there versus driving since I had to go through CLT on AA and push back was significantly delayed due to snow in CLT and then we had to get inline to de-ice for our less than 20 minute flight to GSP. *A word to the wise, I personally will never do PCD ever again during the months of January or February. March is still risky, but certainly more tolerable than what I dealt with. The worst PCD experience ever (have done multiple) and at no fault to the PC employees.

Edit. The weather/temps were the main factor.

This has been almost a month in the making or so. PCD delivery was originally scheduled for January 26, but was postponed by 2 weeks due to impending ice storm. Despite that, my wife and I finally took delivery on February 9. I definitely would recommend the PCD Delivery Experience.

Here are some pictures I took of the car at time of delivery and since then with front end PPF, level 2 ceramic coating, and front window tint and AS1 windshield strip.

Enjoy, my fellow Bimmer friends!
