I've mentioned the potential for this to a few customers that had been asking when the latest they could order a G05 X5 was, and it looks like it may be starting sooner than anticipated....

Much like what we saw when the 2024 X3 gave way to the new 2025 model, it appears that BMW removes some paint options as production starts ramping down...

It looks like BMW has removed several colors from the USA configurator website for all X5 models, notably, Tanzanite Blue, Carbon Black, and Dravit Grey.

https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-own.html#/studio/26XG

If you are looking to order an X5 in one of these colors, I would do it NOW!

I can confirm that as of today, 1/27, dealers can still order those colors, despite not being offered on the website.

If anyone needs any help, shoot me an email or a message on here!

Damn, that is early. I remember this happening for the pre-LCI X5 as well. They took away the good colors first like Phytonic Blue, then started taking trim options.

Speaking of which, I'm still mad the LCI didn't have any metallic or carbon trim options for Msport package vehicles.

The crazy part, the CF trim has been available on the 40i in Canada, which is also happens to be controlled by BMW of North America in New Jersey.

No, they are two separate entities.

This is what I was referencing.

BMW North America has a strong influence in the Canadian market, but it does not control it entirely due to competition and external economic factors.

Individual paints are no longer available. All other paints are currently available. Never trust the configurator as it is not the authority.

Sounds like Ai junk, most of that is misleading. BMWCA is a subsidiary of BMWAG.

Correct, but we did see this same thing happen with the X3 changeover.

My suspicion is the next batch of allocations will have restrictions on color.

Take that to the bank!

As a complete side question, did the 2VW option on the M60i ever become available again to dealers for traditional ordering by them? Or is it still not available due to "parts shortages", etc? I'm both Curious & know someone thinking about ordering one. Feel like options like this and others would be the first to go on a 2026 G05. Thanks

Marina Bay Blue is no longer available to order in the U.K. for the X5 and X5M. My M60i isn’t being built until next month, so I’m relieved that I chose Manhattan, because if I’d stuck with my MBB I suspect that I might have been disappointed.

Frozen colours have gone as well. All other colours remain available to order, including Tanzanite Blue, Dravit Grey & Carbon Black.

Marina Bay Blue remains available to order on the X6 M60i and X6M.

I hope that no optional equipment is removed on the X5 before mine is built. I’m not going to spend that amount of money and not be able to have all the options that I’ve chosen.
