I’m looking for a exhaust for my x5m50i 2022, I want to get one with a separate valv controller, does any one recommend any?

You can add valve controllers to any exhaust if you want. I just added the 11Mode valve controller to my M50i fitted with an X5M Comp muffler.

I have the valvetronic exhaust for my 22 m50i. Love it. Utilizes a remote valve controller.

How does it sound with the X5M Comp muffler? I installed the 11Mode controller but it did not change the exhaust note very much.

Sounds great, but it is not a plug and play install. The X5M hangars don’t line up with the G05, so it requires some custom work to center and mount. I also had to remove some of the heat/sound shielding that sits above the muffler cavity, which actually adds to the exhaust being slightly louder inside the cabin. It is now aggressive enough for my needs as a daily. Just wish I could get some mild burbles on deceleration, but I do get the “brap” snaps on aggressive acceleration at WOT.

I bought a JTLD valved exhaust directly from them. It looks good, installed perfectly and sounds great. Valves open or close with a push of a remote button on via my two available home link buttons on the rearview mirror. Its a no brainer at under 1k shipped.

Check out my M50i exhaust on YouTube:

Under $1000 all in (parts + installation).

Sounds good. What did you get done here? I just took delivery of a 2026 M60i and I'm looking to add some grunt to the stock exhaust. I'm coming from a G80 with a midpipe exhaust and valve controller, but not seeing similar aftermarket options in the G05 platform. Looks like Dahler and Valvetronic full catbacks are the only mainstream options out there.

@arsenal55 The parts I used are in the comments of that video. Its all custom from the cats back. I bought an x-pipe, resonators and tips and had a performance exhaust shop install everything. 1/3 or more of the cost of the pre-fab exhausts out there (like Dahler) and this sounds far better in my opinion. Other users here have the same setup, there's a thread on it here somewhere.

Hey vstrong50's user avatarvstrong50

Do you happen to have any clips of car revving or driving around?

About to either do this or get an Alibaba , not sure I want to chop of the stock exhaust if I change my mind or trade the SUV

I'll at least get some revs in the driveway for ya. Not sure an in car recording will provide any value, but I guess I can try it!

Thanks for catching a clip. Sounds awesome. I may have to go this route.
