guppyguy wrote We were toying with doing a PCD pick-up if it lined up with my vacation time in March. The dealer submitted the paperwork a couple of weeks ago.
Today I was informed that the car is delivered to the PCD but the earliest date is after my vacation. So I asked if it can be delivered to the dealership here in town instead. They responded it would be an additional $1K delivery fee at this point, which I wasn't aware of originally.
Has anybody else been caught by this? I'm willing to just fly out there an pick it up with out doing the scheduled PCD course if that is the limiting factor.
Just curious how I should respond....
Since your vehicle has been delivered to the Performance Center there is no reversing it. You are 100% committed. You’re selling dealer should have stipulated this when you initially requested PCD. Generally shipping it to your dealer from the PCD is an out-of-pocket expense.
guppyguy wrote Thanks. The said it was already delivered to the PCD, but it won't be available for pickup until after March 10th. I told them I could pick it up the week prior without the PCD experience but they said the date couldn't be moved up.
How far is it from the assembly line to PCD?
I just don't understand how something can not be available for pickup yet I would have to pay to still have it shipped.
I pushed back with the dealer....I think you are right, they are just looking for more money.
Plant Spartanburg is directly across the highway from the PC.
