Hey what's going on man. I installed my exhaust last year when I got my m60 but have been holding off on installing the downpipes, they've just been sitting in the box since I got them. I'm hesitant because I don't want to throw any codes. Have you had any issues with throwing a cel with your downpipes? If so, you just clear them with a reader and go on about your business?

I just received my Valvetronic exhaust and the installer recommended I get the downpipes to really wake up the V8. So, where did you get the Red Star DP if you don’t mind me asking? Do you have the part number or a link to it? TIA

Also due to living in Ma. and the annual state inspection, I just want something that will pass without any issues.

My installer had an account with them so he ordered them for me, took about a week to get. I only did the secondary downpipes fyi, i didnt want any issues with cel as my truck is only a few months old. Pretty sure you can order directly on thebred star exhaust site.

Here’s a link the the Red Star secondary downpipe.

Whoever is doing the inspection would have to get under the car and really be looking to notice that you changed it out. It’s not easily seen.

with the valves closed its a very very minor difference compared to stock, which is great option bc i have a 2 year old myself
Hey man, it’s been almost a year since you installed the Valvetronic and secondary downpipes. Still enjoying it?

I have the secondary downpipes but still concerned with my youngest who sleeps above the garage. (I leave at 5am and my wife will kill me if I make the change and wake him up)

I’m still enjoying mine. Once I got all the issues worked out with Valvetronic I’ve been really happy. The price of gas has gone up considerably lately but with the downpipes and exhaust it’s hard to stay off the accelerator. Smiles Per Mile cost a little more now but still worth it.

If you start the car with the valves closed you’ll be fine. It’s pretty quiet unless the valves are open.

I have a the valvebtronic exhaust getting installed Monday. Would anyone say if it’s worth getting the secondary down pipes or is the exhaust sufficient?

I'd definitely add the RedStar secondary downpipes. Makes a big difference. Completely happy overall with the sound of the downpipes and Valvetronic exhaust together.
