This is how we left the X5 early last October when we headed east. I made a trip west a couple weeks ago and it started up - electric and ICE - like it was yesterday. One tire needed a little air. The one that was repaired and didn't have nitrogen replaced. The other nitrogen tires are remarkably stable with tire pressures.

We'll be west again soon...

Wonderful pics! How is the paint holding up around the wheel wells and rocker panels?

Thanks. And think it’s holding up well… I’ll take a closer look in a couple weeks.

Our move west is about done and it’s been a busy few weeks, heck, busy few months.

Really enjoying the X around town. Further adventures and blue cooler trips are on the way.

Not exactly a blue cooler trip but work comes first. And a truck would be nice yet the X5 is doing great. Just takes more trips… and more trips to come. Moving is no fun.

Could you provide a quick summary of your trip, such as locations visited and routes taken. Your pics intrigue me to plan a trip in those areas since I have never been there. Enjoy God’s handiwork.

Sure, I’ll type up some general routes with locations. Give me a week or so. The west has so many opportunities for road trips with beautiful or interesting destinations. We tend to stay away from crowds.

That would be great! I like to avoid tourist traps and interact with locals to really see the region. Thanks.

Paint is holding up well. No issues, chips, etc.

Still busy with moving and unpacking chores. I haven’t forgotten.

More trips to the dump and recycling spot. I’m starting to feel guilty for the X, but it’s been a workhorse getting things done. Especially on 90% electric power vs near $5/gas… it’s been fantastic! It’s due a thorough cleaning very soon.

Blue sky and no blue sky (maybe reverse order).

It got a bath and Sapphire Black looks great.

Glad to see I am not the only who's front plate somehow gets beat up and bent.

It’s pitiful, right?

I just got one of these to protect it. Decent carbon look.

ZXFOOG Carbon Fiber License Plate Frame- 1 Pack100% Handcrafted Real Carbon Fiber Cloth Wrapped Holder, Slim Black Stainless Steel Car Tag Cover with Screws Caps, Rattle Proof Pad, 4 Hole.

Not using the caps, they look goofy.
