I have seen shorter number plates on other cars and never think that they look right, but if you find a picture of one on an X5 please post it as it may look better than I think!Mines got 6 letters/numbers in. Seen a couple of x3 with shorter front plinths but never an X5. Must be able to get them, just never found any yet

A BMW user wroteIn the U.K. (and all of Europe as far as I know) we have to have front and rear plates by law. It’s not all bad news though. We don’t have to have those hideous orange reflectors above the front wheel arches that you have to have in the U.S. Now those really DO destroy the look in my opinion!Just do what we do in the colonies and put NOTHING hahaha. I refuse to destroy the look on the front or drill into my bumper.

I got my smaller rear plate made at an official licence plate place.
