Mine has made the treacherous and long journey from BNSF's Seattle yard to BNSF's Kent yard at just before 1AM this morning.... right around the corner from the VPC. Looks like next week is probably going to be the week, assuming it gets offloaded today, trucked to the dealer Fri or Sat - the latter of which would put it right on time according to the original ETA.

Here in Seattle, someone else' car arrived a day or two earlier and hit the yard and was at their dealer today or so. So I'm not sure if they're unloading cars as they have room in the yard, or if some sadistic BNSF plan to keep us on our toes...

Mine was scheduled to arrive in the Richmond rail yard (Northern California) on Dec. 8. Client advisor was told by BMW that the yard was backed up with deliveries. Train tracking showed it didn’t get to Richmond until Dec 17. Car wasn’t scanned in at Richmond until Dec. 20.

Now on a truck to the dealer, picking up next week after I get back from holiday trip. Right under the wire.

Got the same for mine here in Seattle. Research online tells me it means the railcar is placed at its destination - be it a spur or siding used by the VPC, or inside the actual VPC itself. So all that's left I'd guess is the staff to take it off the railcar, do what they need to do, and then it gets trucked to your dealer!

Unfortunately the holidays - and for us here in the PNW, the ice today - might slow that a little, but it shouldn't be long!

But they are delaying some of the battery requirements to March.

But it seems the salary cap will start Jan 1 as will the MSRP cap. But rest assured the 45e MSRP is $65700 and I am 100% convinced they will use that amount. They use MSRP here in NV for registration and that's the amount they used - not what I paid for it. The govnt cannot track every single transaction and verify it online No Fricking way. They are not going to get to that detail. Some people will buy for more than $80k and get discounts below $80k - but others will buy with MSRP markups above $80k. You think the govnt is going to settle arguments like that ?
To simplify they use the posted 45e MSRP.

Might give you an idea of how long yours might take, though holidays might muck it up some. All told, about 20 days. Actual prod date was 11/30 - so it sat around for a couple days before hitting the rails. While yours took the Northern route, mine took the Southern alternative.
Mine is stuck in Clovis, NM since last Saturday, 2am.
Initially I thought that the the rail didn't operate on Christmas Day, or the Day after, but seems that is no movement

For tracking over train I used the Norfolk Southern automatic phone line.
Maybe they transferred to a different railway (BNSF?) and NS stopped updating the status?

I found that BNSF seemed to be far more accurate than NS. Or at least BNSF had a lot more scanning equipment to feed the data into the system so it seemed more timely anyway. I also used the NS phone system - I made a contact in my phone with all the pauses and inputs so it became very easy to just dial it and listen for any new status. Maybe too easy, because I called every few hours

I picked mine up from BMW Northwest last week. We had a great CA and the whole purchase process was extremely easy. We had a little difficulty with connecting the car to my user profile, but it was all worked out in the end. They even gave us a gift certificate for free dinner. I wish all dealers worked this way.

Ah, glad to hear you had a good experience. I went to get my '20 X3 M40i appraised, and had to wait over an hour for something that took 10 minutes - the CA I was working with (Justin) was tied up doing two deliveries. He was apologetic and they offered more than what I wanted for the trade, so wasn't too upset at that point. Hoping the actual delivery of mine on Friday goes smoothly!

Re: the profile - they sent me an email to accept some terms for ConnectedDrive, but I got no notice when I logged in. Hopefully that's not a harbinger of same profile issues.
