Go with the M50i. Best of both worlds.
Side note, what did you think of Mineral White?

In general I'm not a fan of white on cars - although the white/red combo is always a classic. I think on the Ms some of the more unique colors (Dravit Grey, Manhattan Green, etc) really look the business to bring out the lines and aggressiveness of the package. Black is always a winner for me as well. |

I can understand if you feel the full M is too raw and harsh for you. It isn't for everyone. But if you were considering that type of car and then in the next breath you are able to consider the regular x5 then somethng isn't right lol sorry. |

This is unfortunately not correct. It can be DHP or Air Suspension, but not both. There was an early copy of the build sheet sent to dealers in early February that incorrectly allowed this combination. You have to pick one or the other. You are correct that the X5M does not have rear steering!

I currently drive a 2020 X5 M50i. great vehicle. love the air suspension. I find it's pretty tame in adaptive mode, where I have it coded to be on start up. When I put in Sport+ mode. car drops down a bit with air suspension and you really feel the difference with engine and trans in sport mode. I have a order for a 24 LCI X5MC. cant' wait.

Just to follow back around on this thread - found a perfect spec, fully loaded, barely used '23 Dravit Grey M50i. No DHP on here. I have never driven a BMW with DHP , but several reviewers called out the car unstable / twitchy at higher speeds so I actively seeked to AVOID it in mine (X5 specifically).
Suspension in comfort seems a BIT too loose / floaty for my liking on here. In Sport it is just about perfect. Gives enough road feel, especially on 22" wheels. Loving the car so far, definitely a different feel then the Audis I drove last 10+ years. Torque is awesome (didn't know it was same as X5M). Car feels more special then a 40i, but without the unwanted jittery/nervous ride for me of the X5M. Did more of my thoughts/write up here for anyone interested. Thanks for all the help around here! https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2016057 Last edited by socialpro1; 05-11-2023 at 12:17 PM.. |

Love it! Great and to the point! That’s why I’m ditching my ‘23 X5M50i for the ‘24 X5MC! |

After a week with the M the only thing I don't like is the freeway noise. Pretty loud out there, enough so that your stereo has to be turned up to too loud to overcome it. By too loud I mean louder than you want it to be but you have no choice if you want to hear music.
Other than that it's been a pleasure to own. Every errand can be an adventure... |
