Silverstone Interior - any regrets?
I've normally always gone with Black interiors, but my wife wants something different and is leaning towards Silverstone.
For those who have Silverstone, any regrets or guidance? |

For those who are worried about the white getting dirty, I highly recommend Adelaide Grey. I went with it for my X5MC and I absolutely love it. Pictures do not do it justice so you need to see it in person. That said, it is a lighter intirior that does not give me the white-getting-dirty worry…

I have the original Ivory with Night Blue and it's similar. You should probably have it protected and clean it more regularly if you wear dark jeans as the blue dye can transfer a bit. If you monitor it and clean it off with mild cleaner periodically, it's fine. It's really like the Silverstone and would have gone for that as well.

If you have kids I would avoid it.
Otherwise the contrast it creates with the exterior is worth the added maintenance. Weekly cleaning will help as the bolsters do get dirty. Also I am very careful how I get in and out of the vehicle |

I agree that Adelaide Grey is the way to go. I have a Dravit grey X5MC with Adelaide Grey and it's a beautiful combo. I also agree you must see it in person to appreciate it as Adelaide Grey just does not video or photograph well IMO.
The Adelaide interior is light enough to really stand out compared to a black interior, but without the fear or regret of how white or Silverstone will look with age. I love Silverstone (when it's new) and would not be worried about keeping the leather itself clean. Its the light colored stitching that gets dirty and really ages the look of light colored interiors. |

I got it on my X5MC - I was very concerned about the upkeep and it getting dirty easily. It looks amazing, no question. With that I have been pleasantly surprised. I did apply GTECHNIQ leather guard which was recommended by my detailer. My experience this far is - no blue jean dye transfer, and any scuffs come off easily.

New to a 2020 X5MC with silverstone 2 interior. Checked my vin, ask local dealer and yes it says sikevrstone 2 but I think thats the silverstone that we always refer to.
After 4 years and 60k klilometer, the drive seat show a bit of wear to the side. The wear manifest itself by turning brown which I though is dirt. So I ordered a touch up colour from the scratch doctor. It work like a charm and the worn part is wonderfully covered up and not noticeable. Sharing in case anyone needs. Otherwise the seat are all in excellent condition. Clean regularly and coat with ceramic costing to prevent dirt. Any dirt just use cloth wipe off. |

I WISH I had silver stone , only so I could justify the Carbon seat backs. Looks so beautiful together. I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze with my current all black interior.

My '22 has Silverstone interior. At 2 years and approx 17K miles they haven't been any more maintenance than other interior colors I've owned. The one minor gripe is that they'll show scuffs easier. Just have to be careful to not place anything on the seats that could scuff them.
