They are supposed to be eliminating the X5M/X6M. There will now be the M60i and full boat X5MC and X6MC. The will have different tuning, boost levels, and probably cammed for a top end bias.

M-engine doesn't really mean anything anymore. once things went turbo, it all changed.

M Performance is an M vehicle plus of course it is more efficient to have one engine.

Just curious, what do you not like about the ride? It is an m car. Do you live in an area that has bad roads? I went from a 2020 x5 40i m sport to a 22 X5MC. The 40i had a very plush ride but I do prefer a firm suspension especially when I am driving. The X5M really defies physics like everyone says. The X5 M50 is a great alternative though I have not driven one. I want the most performance oriented option.

Will Lci have ugly split lights or conventional BMW lights?

40i to X5MC. That is going from entry level to the very top, good job.
I'm in the middle currently with the M50i which I really enjoy but often wish I had gone full boat on the X5MC like you did. Have a fair amount of seat time in the Comp. It is a mad man. Incredible piece of equipment but certainly not for everyone.

Conventional lights is more or less confirmed, BMW has also mentioned that the split design is for their top ranges, i.e 7-series and X7, at least for now.

I wonder if they will eliminate the laser lights to stream line across different models

Looks are one thing, but I hate what BMW has done with the dash and ID8.

They will (according to my dealer) because there is an element that is not recycable in them and only iX model will keep them. Also there is the thing of US regulations vs other markets so that they habe to be set up differently.

I think he is referring to the regulations for Adaptive Beams ie. anti-dazzle. I would say at this point BMW does not seem to be concerned with that. The laser lights themselves are fine and meet all of the current specs.

I was going to say that I quite enjoy the Laser Lights, and even though I haven't driven a vehicle with their new Matrix Lights, I'd say miss them.

Yes, they work very well. Likely will be gone in the future though in favor of the Matrix which are supposed to work very well also.

The true preview is the current BMW X3. The front bumper looks very similar sans the air curtain

I thought i saw they are set up to be less strong for the US market? I know the anti dazzle was sorted out. Anyways theyre gone as per dealer info.

In my opinion, If it’s going to have the same front, it’ll look worse than pre-lci, which is more aggressive than this m-sport look.
