Notes:
- touchscreen/backup assist (10/12 Prod, last day)
- hitch
- NFC card

Likes:
- color combo
- clean details, light touches on ///M and i themes
- overall quality
- uniquely and familiar BMW driving experience and UX
- better steering feel than you'd expect
- high tech
- extended shadowline hides hitch nicel9

Dislikes:
- Connected Drive was difficult to set up without dealer support. Pro tip - set up your profile first and delete your delivery tracker on Mygarage

- so many lights, chimes, info on screen, gauges HUD, it's an assault on the senses. Not helpful when you're trying to get familiar with a brand new car

- still trying to figure out how to get the best shortcuts via widget or preset buttons

- a rushed delivery experience

Grats! Phytonic looks almost liek tanzanite in that light. BMW paint colors do funny things in different lighting.

Was the Vermillion next to yours a touchscreen delete?

Tanzanite I think is a bit lighter blue. That Vermilion was not a delete

Idk, it took my few hours to figure it out all menus and functions.
Well, my mom still doesn't know how to use 50% of her Iphone functions having it already for 5 years

Congrats!

Looks like BMWSF from the pictures, I was there last month to pick up my 45e. I had a okay experience with delivery, it could have been little faster. I was there for almost 3 hours. I also did found a small ding on driver side door before I signing anything.

Yeah, similar, a lot of waiting, and then a rushed processing. Most important thing is they had the best price and allocation.

Congrats Flying Ace! Not too bad for me on the learning curve considering switching from previous iDrive6 on 2018 to this new iDrive7. Though there are still a couple of things which I thought I already setup and remote viewed successfully (Remote View from My BMW app), then the next day when I tried again, the app wants me to set it up from the car again…. I’m gonna take sometime this weekend to focus on these new features and get familiar with them…

I was thinking this too. ID7 is a huge learning curve. I never used ID6. I came from CCC, CIC, and NBT, The more traditional user experience menus.

Probably spent a good 3 hours yesterday figuring out navigation and user experience. I'm pretty comfortable with it now.

I would say that the touchscreen is a little distracting while you're driving. I still find myself using the I-Drive knob.

I still haven't found myself practically using gesture control.

This.

Only time I use the touchscreen is when I have to sign into BMWConnected drive once a couple of months.

For destinations, I just send it to my vehicle from the app. Otherwise, I'm a iDrive controller user 99.8% of the time.

If you have Android phone or Apple Phone, I would setup Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. I use mostly CarPlay and never use the car navigation.

I agree it's somewhat of a distraction right now only because it’s new UI and the placement of these features are still new for me. But I do think that the popup tips is kinda annoying and I purposely left it on just to see what it will educate me since I’m still new and will turn it off if doesn’t serve me any good…

Both gesture control and touch screen are “good to have” features; knowing that it’s there when I need it. From daily use perspective, I’ll most likely use more of gesture controls for volume than the touch screen though, it actually works well for me…

For navigation and maps, I still use the controller. I used touchscreen mostly for menu navigation. Because I drive seven completely change the indexing.

There's other features I'm not sure how to use the knob for. For example the custom home widgets, I don't know how to scroll from page to page with the knob. It's more intuitive to swipe like a smartphone. Also with selecting a widget on the page.

I also used to touch screen to access the shortcuts on the top of the screen. Notifications, etc.

Tanzanite is definitely a darker blue.
Phytonic is definitely the better looking blue of the two.

I see a factory trailer hitch on your new 45e
Local SA told me hitches were not availble on the 45 e's due to the battery pack ?
Didn't make sense.
I do not see a trailer hitch option on the BMWUSA build site for a 45e
Frrustrating

When you ordered the car 61 days ago, a factory hitch must have been available?

Thanks for the updates

Peter Pan next time I spent hours and had 3 people helping me, even did a photo shoot.

On CD, huh, I didn't have a problem:

In the car I input my email address and everything linked up, though on the web it took about 24 hours for mygarage to add the link to CD.

The MyBMW app worked great from the start, but then it stopped logging me in and threw an error. I had to change the default browser on my phone to firefox, restart the app & login, and then switch back to to my default (chrome in my case). Apparently it's a known bug tied to the security.
