https://nextzettusa.com/gummi-pflege-rubber-care-stick/ Again, I liberally applied it to the felt after tapes and applying to the gaskets didn't work. It's now been eight months of silence and joy. |

I coated #2 heavily which also resulted in #1 getting some of the product on it. I did not apply any to #3.

After several weeks of testing, I finally resolved the AAF squeaking/creaking noises coming from the internal water channel made out of felt that rubs against the door jamb when driving the car. Much thanks goes out to the Forum Members who provided their experiences with PPF Tape!!! You can see from the markings on the painters tape where the contact point is. After putting on the painters tape, the noise was completely gone. I drove around for several weeks to confirm. I replaced the painters tape with 3M PPF tape and the noise is still completely gone and I am not AAF. This is the only way to silence the noises. Liberal amounts of any lubrication (including Gummi Pflege) do not work and will end up attracting dust, grime, etc.
Gummi Pflege can be used on rubber surfaces, but not felt. The overall root cause of the noise is the felt side of the water channel rubbing against the paint on the door jamb. I can't speak for waxing, applying teflon, applying ceramic, etc to the door jamb, but having a surface that does not make noise when felt rubs on it is key.
