No clue on your mileage/battery % issue but historically BMW has underrated mileage on gasoline cars, could it be they programed it to say 0% when you are below a certain threshold just to be on the safe side of things |

Right, nothing obvious, I couldn't find the version either but when seeing the notification on the app that said there was an update waiting and then going to the App Store, there wasn't an update for it. I just looked at my app now, it says that 15 hrs ago I got a msg saying to update the app again, see pic. So I click it and get the info on what the update contains - see pic. Instead of clicking Update Now, I go to the Apple App Store directly via my phone, click on updates and the MyBMW app doesn't show up. So....I assume I'm up to date. When I click on Update Now at the bottom of the MyBMW app Notification details screen, it brings me to the App Store, showing 2.7.0. It's like going in circles. I wrote the developer and requested an easy way to see what version is currently installed. Not holding my breath.

To find the version of the MY BMW app, go to the profile page and at the bottom select "About My BMW" and it will give you the version of the app you have installed.

Thanks! Looks like I am running the update, but the described added features don't appear to be there.

Has anyone been able to code the adaptive headlights for 2019-2022 X7 to work up to it’s full capacity on US roads (i.e.: continuous highbeam operation with adaptive headlights avoiding incoming traffic)?
Can anyone share the e-sys coding instructions? |

There are a number of threads on it. Here is one with some coding information. https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1742249

My Indy mechanic coded it for me on our 2019. I believe he did it with INPA and deleted the US country settings. It works great and is a huge improvement over the pre-coded US settings.

My apologies if this has already been answered but I am following the discussion and have some understanding of the possibilities. I plan to read more and be familiar with coding. But first, I was overwhelmed by the options available here:
https://bimmercode.app/adapters/?series=g Please suggest which one I need to get. If it's mentioned somewhere else, please redirect me. 2023 X5 45e iOS iPhone (bluetooth) OR MacBook Pro (if hardwired adapter ethernet to USBC) connection Thanks. |

I'm using the ENET cable because it's faster than the bluetooth dongles and supports all coding options. If I remember correctly, only some of the bluetooth dongles support all coding options. I think you have to check in the app to see which ones do and don't. I could be wrong though and all of those on the list you link are fully capable.

I’d go with ENET cable and Ethernet adapter. It’s WAY faster than any of the wireless. The ENET cable can be used with other adapters such as your laptop or whatever.

Thank you for the responses regarding hardware purchase choices. Related question - once I buy, let's say the ENET cable and adapters, I pretty much download the (assuming free) App and that's it? Is there a subscription, or version upgrades fee? Thanks.

You need to purchase the app. The free version is just a demo.

The app is the same...it's just that you get a key to unlock the actual full functionality when you pay them. It's a one-time thing, and you should keep up with the updates (which are also free).

I had to code couple things again because the dealership reset with newer sw. While in there, I also turned on ASD. I read it’s supposed to give you more (fake) engine noise inside. Is it true? I feel like it’s reduced. It doesn’t sound as aggressive in S+ as it used to be. Am I feeling it right?

random but interesting observation: apparently, the number of turn signal clicks is saved on one’s driver profile. I have two bimmers, but I only coded 5-click turn signal on my X5. I haven’t coded anything on my 530e but the turn signal clicks 5 times. the menu item to enable it is only listed in my X5 (from BimmerCode) but not in the 530e menu.
