What do you guys think of this deal? Financed with USAA/Penfed rebate.
I am planning to finance through BMW so I assumed the rebates should be 2500 (finance credit) + 1,000 (loyalty, I have a current BMW lease) + 500 USAA which would be 4,000.

You are getting a little over 14.2% discount which is nice. If you are happy with the configuration and deal I say go for it and enjoy!

I've seen a couple recent 13.5%+ off MSRP deals prior to rebates, is this common? I thought anything over 10% was good and over 12% was next to impossible. I'm working on a custom MY20 build now and wouldn't mind a bit more off than the 11% offered given MY21 is around the corner.

M50i $91,745 MSRP $10,517 Discount 57% Residual .00107 MF (was .00142, MSD’s) $2,000 Rebates $967.62 Monthly + Tax I was told by the dealer that for June the “MF did change, but the residual dropped by 1%, as well as the loyalty incentive by $250. I did the math, and your old MF, residual, and incentive actually nets $150 better than the new programs”. I ran the numbers with the June programs using a 56% residual, .00118MF and added the MSD's taking it to .00083. I included the rebates you pointed out, the lease credit for a 2020 M50i for June is $1,500 and loyalty is $1,000 (total of $2,500). I'm eligible for $500 from USAA so that brings the rebates to $3K. I'm not sure if I'm making a mistake but it looks like the June program is better for this deal. Am I missing something here? |

^ He is probably not including an incentive you are eligible for or you are including one you are not eligible for. Just ask him to give you the details for tha calculation and the difference should pop out.

Question on rebates...
Trying to research ahead of time of what rebates I might be eligible for as I move forward with the purchase of a X5 xDrive 40i. It will be a cash transaction, so no leasing/financing rebates. Will I still be eligible for the $1K loyalty rebate or do you need to finance to be eligible for this as well? |

Hi,
I am in Los Angeles looking to order a 2021 xDrive45e. If anyone has a referral for a good dealership, please IM me. So far, Crevier has offered me invoice (6.5% off MSRP), which I know isn't very good so I am still shopping around. My build has a MSRP of $80,250. |

Assuming it was actually $2,750 total rebates, that's $250 more in rebates than this month + 1% higher residual ($910 based on your MSRP), giving you about $1,160 more towards your deal. That would then offset the 0.00024 MF difference and net you a slightly better deal by using the March program (a few dollars by my math). I'm not counting the USAA rebate in either scenario.

For the June programs, the dealer is saying lease credit for M50i is $1000, not $1500. I saw you posted that the Lease credit for a 2020 M50i for June is $1,500 and loyalty is $1,000 (total of $2,500). Are these regional? I'm trying to figure this out today because I'm planning to pick the vehicle up tomorrow afternoon. |

BMW 2021 X5 Price
With my dad's current lease of the BMW 520i X-drive ending, I reached out to my dealer about leasing a 2020 BMW X5 xDrive40i on his behalf and this is what they have offered initially:
MSRP: $75,000 Discount = $2,500 (only 3%!!!) Adjusted Price= $72,500 Lease for 36 Months with 0 down = $1,182 per month After being on this blog for 5 minutes, I do realize this is a bad deal; but how bad is it really? I'm afraid since my parents had not consulted me for their previous leases, they have been getting scammed by this dealer for years. For a car priced around $75,000, what should I be aiming for? Furthermore, if we are to custom build a car, how much should one expect the discount for the car? Thanks! |

^ The discounts appear to be lower now than pre-COVID, probably due to a limited supply. Discounts are also regional so hopefully some folks from Michigan chime in with the discounts they have been getting. I could be wrong but think they generally were in the 8-10% range prior to incentives for custom orders. You may be able to do a little better on a vehicle from the lot but not by much unless they really need to get rid of it.
Another thing to keep in mind is the money factor and making sure you are getting the base rate rather than one that is marked up. Good luck. |

I'm also from Florida shopping for an X5 or X7 in the range of $80k-$115k MSRP.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's dealer recommendations as our pickings are slim and I want to take delivery in Spartanburg anyway. |
