Detail Day!
after picking her up last weekend, this weekend is dedicated to the detail.
last night i did a two step wash with a de-contaminating foam bath, followed by a stripping clean slate soap. followed that with rinse of iron deposit remove to ensure it was 100% clean. this morning was a one step polish followed by a 3 step ceramic coating. 1 coat kamakazi zipang, 1 coat kamakazi miyabi coat, final coat of zipang also debadged the x5 and m50i logos. tomorrow ill take the rims of and give them a good wipe down with break cleaner and put a couple coats of ceramic coating on the inside of the rims. |

OK-it looks really nice. I’m in the process of weighing options for finishing garage floor. I assume carpet tile wouldn’t hold up to the snow/salt from the Minnesota winters. Also, I’ll have to try Kamakazi brand sometime. Thanks for the info.

Looks good. Need to replace that ugly license plate frame as it detracts from the beauty of the vehicle.
Also, ask Santa for a Rupes polisher for xmas. You'll be glad you did.

How's everything? You should get rid of that 40e and come over to the 45e

We did test drive a 45e when we lived in Santa Fe. Very nice and if I could have ordered one with everything on it, I would have gotten one instead of what I have now. We have an X3M40i (wife) and M550i (me) now. In between I had a 330GT which was a commuting monster for me 36k miles in 30 months. Several trips from NM to Vegas during Covid lockdown. Little 4 banger ate up empty roads at warp 9 and the cargo capacity was monstrous. Great car, but I wanted a slightly larger lump so I got the M550i when the 330 lease ended (actually bought it out and sold for $1k profit!).

Looks good. What is your flooring? Edit, nvm, I see you responded to a similar question.
Did you glue that carpet tile down or just installed it right on top of the floor? |
