B&W stereo "sometimes" limits volume
Greetings,
Recently, I've had an issue with my B&W stereo "limiting" the volume of my stereo to about 60%. No amount of volume knob turning... or vol+ button on the steering wheel will work. Nothing is blown. Stereo is crystal clear. Sounds great. Occasionally the volume lowers, and won't go back up again. Next startup? Volume works perfectly. No issues. Happens every few days. Suggestions?

Does it matter whether the phone is connected? Maybe try disconnecting the phone. Sometimes Bluetooth and CarPlay can cause weird stuff. What about a reboot? I suppose that panel could be going bad. You could also try temporarily disabling any volume reductions for speed and notifications in the sound settings and see if one of those is setting it off. That is kind of odd.

I have a similar issue when I unbuckle, whether the single chime goes off or not, the volume will lower and not come back up.

I did however do a hard reset. It works properly right after the reset (it wasn't working before I did the rest). Time will tell. Hopefully it won't do it again.

Nope... it's still doing it. The next day, it "limited" my volume to about 60%.
It works... sounds clear, great, no issues whatsoever. It's just "limited".... almost as if my X5 is telling me to protect my hearing - LOL Refreshing this post to see if ayone has any other ideas.

OP, have you tried
The sound settings are reset to the factory settings. 1. "CAR" 2. "Settings" 3. "General settings" 4. "Sound" 5. "Reset"

The same issue started for me last night and into today. I called genius just now and he says try resetting the iDrive by pushing in the volume knob until the iDrive screen goes blank then it will reset. I’m yet to try it.
