Rear Diff Mount Sheared Off

Digging into repairs and found this Any options other than replacing the diff? More than likely going to replace but thought someone might chime in with something |

That could "probably" be re-welded and re-tapped by an expert.... but quite honestly, it should be covered under warrantee..... so just bring it to BMW

Structural bits like that shouldn't break. Now, if they could show that it was broken through negligence (like improper jacking the vehicle or hitting say a rock or something similar off-roading, then all bets are off), it should be covered IMHO.

I had internal problems with the diff on my 2005 GTO (most people did) and they replaced it twice. No reason a broken outer case would be any different.
