2024 X5 MSport Front

Hello All - Excited about the possibility of more power in the 2024 X5. But seeing this front end, has anyone found out if you can match the body color?

https://www.bmwusa.com/build-your-ow...tivity-vehicle

Its the black trim in the X5 for the M package option

Thanks!

yeah, I don’t like how there’s no break in all that front-end black for M Sport. (xLine has it, though.) can’t paint match it via factory build, so maybe take it to a certified BMW body shop to get it painted, or if you live near IND-Distribution, I know they’d paint it very well

Agree - or order a darker color, maybe.

Thx!

It looks silly. If you get BSM, it will blend in perfectly tho.

Disagree, that is one of my favorite design elements on the LCI and makes it look much more aggressive.

One of my biggest dislikes with the pre-LCI was how awkward that area of the front was(like a mouth with a fat upper lip), BMW greatly improved it on the LCI.

On another thread, someone made reference to a loveseat design on the front of the msport. I thought that was hilarious. But, I still placed an order, just in BSM as Vanguard pointed out above. Week 14 for me.

The European plate helps break it up.

It would be interesting to see a lighter colored LCI M-Sport that has this section body colored as what the OP mentioned. I wonder how many people would end up doing that.

Just to be clear your pictures are comparing the X6 front to the non MSport X5 front.

That said the X6 front looks great, but I agree with OP the updated X5 MSport front looks weird with anything other than a body in Black or Carbon Black.

I’d have to see it in person but from the pics, the front of the LCI M-sport doesn’t look as aggressive as the current M-sport bumper. IMO.

None, unless they wanted it to look worse.

This is all the LCI X5 you need, much better and more aggressive than pre-LCI.... it's been proven by science

Some of the early renders almost had the LCI figured out, but they didn't expect that bit between the lower grille and upper grille to be black, so they rendered it in body colour:

Looks like daft smile IMO.

Lol, you got me there. I do love the MBB on the LCI's though!

you didn’t understand the context, eh? I posted xLine and M Sport to show Flying Ace the front areas in question and how they differ between variants. while the X6 M Sport dimensions are a bit ‘smaller’ than the X5 M Sport, it clearly displays the large black front bumper abutting the grille of the same design which is the focus of the OP’s complaint

Wow. I’m behind by a few weeks and just pulled up the pictures. How damn UGLY. Used to love the stealth/MSport pack.

Damn BMW design. Destroy the interior of the car with the curved display, now destroy the exterior of the car by this cheap looking paint job

I cannot wait to see a US plate, rectangular, in the front where it’s required. It will look like a clown nose! At least the EU has the long low and it actually breaks it up nicely.

I’m asking my rep to price painting if to match the color or the X5.

Or if they just offered the wheel well kit vs the plastic black, as an option. That is what really irks me. Anyone but those aftermarket and go with the luxury line blacked out?
