A REAR BBK with dual calipers for the G05!!!

A REAR Big Brake Kit with dual calipers for the G05 is here!!!
A couple of months ago I was fortunate enough to test fit a front big brake for Tony Chumakov and now I’ve been able to install his rear kit, with dual calipers.
Awesome doesn’t even begin to describe it.
Goodness, the thing stops as soon as I even think about the brake pedal. It’s truly spectacular.
And obviously, it looks pretty damn nice too.
I can’t stress how easy Tony has made these kits, and how great he is to deal with. He responds quickly, is insightful, creative, and passionate about what he does. He checks in regularly after install too. At this point, I’d consider him a friend. That doesn’t cloud my judgment though, and truly I can not recommend his lots enough.
These are custom kits Tony sources parts for, handles the R&D, has parts made, painted, and all for us! Everything is great quality, including the finish on the calipers. These are off an F90 M5.
Please message Tony for details!

This is fantastic. Consumables (pads and rotors) seem easily accessible as well. Having Tony develop a rear kit for me in yellow to match my front 8 pot Brembos. Thanks for this reference!

Absolutely! Tony is the man. I wish he’d build other parts too! I have his front kit and rear kit now. I love it.

Looks great DKNICK!
Are you lowered or do you have adjustable suspension?

Really want to know if you have any issues running X7 275/40/22; 315/35/22 wheels/tires on X5 275/35/22; 315/30/22

EDIT: I see your running 285/40; 325/35

Curious about members running stock sizes?

I’m lowered on H&R springs.

I went a size up from the x7 stock sizes. I have a small rub at total bottom out, at highway speeds. Also small tub on front of wheels are turned at full extension and car is at an angle. Other than that no issues, so I’d say it’s a safe assumption that oem x7 sizes would have no rub at all, even lowered.

Absolutely worth the small rub to have more sidewall. I have 22s but it doesn’t ride like I do.

Did the rear wheels require spacers to clear the brake calipers? I assume the OEM wheels in the rear are low pad since the stock brakes are a small single piston. I have 742Ms (rear BBK currently in transit).

No. I have spacers, but I tested without spacers for Tony to have that knowledge. Both front and rear kits clear without spacers.

What is the purpose of the small caliper? It seems odd that it does cover the entire width of the rotor friction surface. After some use, will the rotor show different thickness at different radius point? The large pads won’t contact rotor surface evenly?

The smaller caliper is the electronic parking brake caliper.

My kits are 1720 and come with dual calipers (4 piston hydraulic brembo gt4 caliper and tesla model x rear epb caliper plus g05 adapter), these come with porterfield brakes pads, custom billet dual caliper bracket, braided brake lines, all the mounting hardware , pretty much everything necessary for the install. These kits are made to work with f90 m5 rear brake rotors

You can contact me /text at 6016181023 and ill send pictures of the recent installs

I am going to transfer my front 6-piston X5M brake setup from my 2020 X5 M50i.... to the new 2024 X7 I'm buying.... as soon as it arrives.

Immediately afterward, I'll be in touch to pick up one of these rear BBKs.

Soooooo..... $1720... includes 4 calipers (2 active 2 parking), all necessary lines, brackets, hardware, etc.... correct?

Rotors? I need to pick up a set of rear F90 rotors, or do they come with the set as well?

If not... can you confirm the dimensions of the F90 rear rotors please?

Guaranteed sale from me..... I was the 1st to do an X5M 6-piston setup on the front of my G05... but the only option for a rear sealed-piston setup was a $20,000 Carbon ceramic transplant from a Cullinan. Needless to say, I'm glad I found this thread.

Correct, you will need to get the rear f90 rotors (I believe they are 385mm but i will confirm when youre ready to go ahead). Everything else comes in the kit, fairly straightforward plug and play install. You have red or blue brakes currently? Thanks
