iOS 15.6.1 > MyBMW 2.9.0 (updated on 9/12)
iOS 16 > MyBMW 2.9.1 (updated on 9/13)

like someone else said, MyTrips may not show in app until after your first drive since updating

Ok, certainly the My BMW app knows which model cars anyone has but are you thinking that your iOS and/or the Apple App Store may know which model car you have and therefore only offer you applicable updates? I know every bot in the world is looking over our shoulders and as well intentioned as they may be, I don't like the sound of that I went back through the posts and it does seem to fit that pattern but am not sure which model nZtiZia has, might it be an "e"?

Well, after reading the various posts here and still, as of this morning, not being able to see the 2.9.1 version of MyBMW app in the App Store I decided to wash my car. Pulled it out of the garage, washed it, put it back in. Came in the house and went to the Apple App Store on my phone and low and behold, there was 2.9.1 waiting for me. When I go to the app on my phone and go to the Message Center where it will prompt me to upgrade, there is nothing there about 2.9.1, in fact, its telling me to update to 2.7.0 now..... even though I have 2.7.1 on the phone - go figure.

What do you all have to say about the timing of that update showing up? ..

I can't get this to work. I've made sure all the data options are enabled in the car including analytics, I've taken several trips but nothing shows up in the mobile app.

why go to the app's Message Center to update? just press UPDATE right there as shown on your screen grab

I don't go to the Message Center to update, I always update via the App Store but I wanted to see what the message center was recommending just as a way to try and understand the app. The message center has never been correct for me, its always telling me to update to a version that I already have. Just hoping one day BMW will get it right. How hard can it be to compare what I already have to whatever is the latest in the App Store?

Anyway, no, I have not updated to 2.9.1 yet

Thanks for confirming your setup. I'm running iOS 15.7 and MyBMW 2.9.1. I've done several trips, I've reset pretty much everything (iPhone, iDrive, including doing a full telematics reset (iDrive reboots 3 times in a row), etc.) Nothing.

So, it's not the iDrive version, nor the iOS version (not likely, at least) and I've got the right MyBMW version. Next validation would be whether this works for anyone that doesn't have a 45e, as is commented on later in the thread. Anyone other than 45e owners have it working?

Anyway, no, I have not updated to 2.9.1 yet

I've never seen any notifications in the app's Message Center regarding updating the app, only the OTA remote software upgrades, maybe because I don't give the app a chance being that I have it set to update automatically

What's working mean? I think this thread has a few different subjects.
1. The ability to see the MyBMW app iOS version 2.9.0 is available as an update
2. To see the My Trips or My Destinations section in the app
3. To see the ability of the MyBMW app, under version 2.9.0 has trip statistics with graphs built in that show your trips like nZtiZia posted

Three new trips today, still one trip from yesterday is missing. If it's like this, can't really trust the data...

it's no so much a matter of trust but one of BMW server's efficiency/timeliness. I say that with only 50% believability because of what I said in my earlier post about my app telling me to update to a version I already have. This represents how I feel about BMW's abilities sometimes.. .. ..

I don't see how that's BMW's fault. they send an updated file to the App Store, and that's that. how an individual's phone interacts with the App Store for updates is out of their hands, and rightly so.

Didn't read everything here, but I have a 45e, and the new trips feature is in my updated app on Android. Works well, and the data logging is slick. Only wish is ability to group, delete trips. It literally logs every drive as a trip

Correct you are but in addition, since the info in my MyBMW app is not correct, as in my previous posts, I blame BMW or who ever they sub this service out to. As soon as BMW uploads their latest version of the MyBMW app to the Apple servers, or I should say as soon as Apple completes their review of it, the My BMW app should make a comparison between what a user has installed on their device and what the Apple servers have available. Then the My BMW app should raise the update flag in the Message Center screen of the app. Mine certain is way out of date and has always been wrong in what it recommends.

Yes, yesterday afternoon it suddenly appeared and it was coincidentally just after I fired up the car to bring it out of the garage to wash it. I posted wondering if it was a coincidence or if maybe there is some connection between the car and the App Store, which I hope there isn't :-0 Reference my 2:11pm post yesterday.
