Thanks for all the input. I appreciate the time given to respond to my post..
Regardless of which side of the line you find yourself, there is no denying we are all on the same playground. <-- doesn't suggest we should behave like a bunch of 5th graders. I'll deffinately get a boost gage thanks for the suggestion.. |

Anyways, for the OP, here's a pretty decent review C/D did on the Dinan stage 3 reflash and suspension package on a 335i. Dinan claims 408 crank hp for this tune, and if you compare the 1/4 mile trap speed and the 0-150mph acceleration times to a stock M3 with 414hp, they are very comparable: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...specialty_file Also, note that the wheels on that test car are $6K alone and I'm not making the claim that it's a great value. It's basically a rolling showcase for all Dinan's 335i packages.

Like you mentioned, we're letting this go. I'm not continuing the argument, but when I made that post, I was referring to the end result. I had a tune with resale value. That was the only point I was trying to make and am no longer trying to make any more points.

People always complain that something is overpriced and its those same people who never had it. I love when people say BMW's are a waste of money and that they should buy a Japanese car instead, like a hyundai sonata because its a comparable car. When asked they say they have never driven a BMW before.
You guys figure it out for yourselves. These times are equivalent to a JB3 at Map 5 or Map 7. Dinan Max PSI = 13 JB3 \ Procede Max PSI = 20 So you tell me who's engineer's are more efficient. Quote:

Here are my times and this was the first time ever having a track worthy car and first time ever being at a track. Now that I think about it im pretty sure 12.8 is an attainable goal if I continue to use 93 octane only.

I wonder if the JB people realize that a BT Tool cannot clear all dealer codes and that some JB3 users have had their warranties denied?
Shiv himself confirmed that there are some things about code-clearing that Terry doesn't know about. The Procede seems to be safer in the method it uses to keep tuner codes undetected. I think it's a fool's game to say that 60 hp is worth having a warranty thrown away on a $20k engine. Seeing all these Juicebox owners coming and talking trash on the Dinan tune is amusing. Note: I don't own any of these tunes. |
