Reflector and Emblem Question
I know somebody posted about these reflectors before but I cant find the link. I'm thinking of swapping front and rear for these:
https://ind-distribution.com/collect...-reflector-set https://ind-distribution.com/collect...-reflector-set My questions: 1) Has anybody swapped these? 2) How easy is it to do? Will I need to go to a body shop? 3) I assume this doesn't impact the turn signal? You can still see the light? 4) Does anybody know where I can get this emblem but instead of black in silver? https://ind-distribution.com/collect...et-gloss-black |

Rear emblems can be removed...used a pry tool to remove carefully and goo gone worked to take off the residue...takes about 15 minutes for everything to look clean

rear reflectors are easy to swap out. the fronts are more involved. search the video from IND-Distribution here in the forum or online for the steps.

#5 - yes the rear emblems "X5" and "40i" can be completely removed and the only thing holding it to the panel is double sided tape. You can slowly heat it up with a hair dryer (on low or medium heat), use dental floss under the emblem to cut away at the tape / glue in a slow back-and-forth-motion. Use some adhesive remover or goo gone and you should be good to go. |

Amzn has a "Decal Eraser Wheel" for $10 that makes quick work of the goo residue.
Then definitely clean/polish that section before applying the new badges. Priming/Painting your existing badges is also super easy. Just use self etching primer and engine paint, also make sure to paint the backs of them since IND does not and silver could peek out a bit when looking from above. The front reflector job is doable without removing the front wheels and liner (I did it along with many others) but if you have the jack/stands just make it easier on yourself (and your hands!) and do it the easier way.
