something is wrong with the proportions on this car. look the side view, come on that ass is too long starting from the rear axle. looks strange. it makes the cockpit look like it sits perfectly between front and rear axle . its not that compact design as the concept for sure

Lifting the front section a little higher to make it feasible for Series production to accommodate front and pedestrian impact safety regulations is not the more drastic change you would expect. Besides the front of the car is still pretty low

The popping and whatnot can be good, but it can get to be "too much" fast.

If you want to know what the M8 looks like, just look at the M8 GTLM. Sure it's a race car, but you'll get the styling cues from the street car there, albeit with real race car aero and lower body.

I was assuming the production M8 would be launched in red so as to bridge the time gap with the one-off E31 M8 prototype and the inaugural M1, however the standard model is being teased in red/orange, so quite unlikely... Unless they are keeping back a more intense red for the M8

I love it!!
I am confused about something though. Is the G14/15 going to replace the F12/13? Can't the 6 and the 8 series go together? with the 8 having a more luxurious interior and a V12? |

Good question, we’ll see. Well it’s going to be viewed as the “replacement”, I hope it’s not so direct. As in the 6 series and M6 were pretty directly related to the 5. I hope the 8 specifically the M8 is more performance oriented using lightweight materials and Dct. We already have heard it’ll use a transaxle. There was an article stating the M6 race car wasn’t planned so it was built based off the production car where as the M8 was built knowing there would be a M8 (gte) race version.

Just read the new M5 review and sounds very promising for the M8 if it can cut about 250-300 lbs.
