This is not correct in regards to the description. Status 150 is Production Begins not entering Assembly Line. Production begins means that a VIN has been assigned and the parts ordered/allocated not that physical assembly has begun.

I just checked my build and not showing any deletions. I also went with the Driving Asst Pro Package and below is from the X5 Ordering Guide dated 6/10/21 lists just 2 items.

I think Backup Assistant is/was part of the Parking Assistance package, not Driving Assistance package.

Yup. I see the same four items. I just want to confirm that the Backup Assistant is just the feature that records the last ~150ft of forward driving and then can repeat the process in reverse? Everything else (like backup sensors) are intact with the deletion being discussed. If so, won't be a deal breaker, but would be nice if they threw a little extra cash my way, ya know, for the trouble.

That's correct. Backup assist was part of Parking Assistance package. It learns how you pulled in, and automatically retraces the line while you control the speed

Did you check your Mygarage features list? it'll show the deletion when your car is at Production Begins status. BMW is making this change at that point

BTW, the following are all X6 references.

On the Vehicle Inquiry report the package lists the four items, first screen capture.

In the Ordering Guide it lists the Back-up Assistant as part of the ZX3 option, second screen capture.

The only other place that I have seen it discussed is in the original BMW Press Release The new BMW X6. A leader with broad shoulders

Specifically, The new BMW X6 Long Version.pdf where on page 14 they call it reversing assistant.

The innovative reversing assistant, which helps the driver when exiting parking spaces and maneuvering within a confined space, represents another step en route to automated driving. The system offers the extremely convenient option of automated reversing in multi-storey car parks or entrances to courtyards, for example. To do this, it first stores the steering movements for any section the car has just driven forward along. The system is then able to reverse the vehicle for distances of up to 50 metres by steering it along the same line it took when moving forward. All the driver has to do is operate the accelerator and brake pedals and monitor the area around the car, while the system takes care of steering. The reversing assistant is initiated by pressing a button when the vehicle is stationary and the gear selector is in the “P” position. The steering movements along the line the car has just taken when moving forward are stored for an extended period, so the reversing assistant can offer the driver the convenience of backing their car out of a parking space they drove into the day before.

Having ordered Parking Assistance package, and checking with VIN decoder and mygarage, I do not see the line for deletion. And I was week 43.

My car's already in transport, does that mean I likely was not effected?

Unsure, reach out to your client advisor and have them look at the MSRP details on their system to verify. From what I could tell, this began sometime during week 43 production

I am week 44 too and mine got deleted as of today.. yesterday it wasn't showing any deletions. My biggest concern is other features, big or small, will be deleted without me knowing. Does mygarage show all deletion updates?
