Bumping this thread.

Sunroof in our G05 has started to open very slowly with more of a whine noise. Has anyone had to do this repair outside of warranty? Doesn’t sound cheap.

Just reading these threads -

How do I ‘reset’ the sunroof? Not an IDrive reset, yes?

I’ve no issues on my MY22, and until I read this thread, the only concerns I did have was future leaking (seems to be a common issue).

Got the same thing going on did you find the reason and/or fix?

Required full replacement of the sunroof cassette. Took them almost 3 weeks and they gouged the hell out of various trim pieces, but I wasn’t going to sit and argue to try and get them replaced.

Was able to get it covered before warranty went out. Suspect it would’ve been several thousand dollars otherwise.
