Picked up a mineral white F80 M3 and can't sleep!

I had been planning to get an f80 since the initial specs were released. In April I attempted to negotiate with every dealership in my area and none would budge on msrp. After convincing myself to pay msrp I contacted the 3 local dealerships and got the same story....

"We have no allocations, we don't know when we will be given more, it doesn't look like you'll be able to take delivery until the end of the year"

I was ready to just pick something else up in the interim until I was contacted yesterday by a sales associate. This was the first dealership I contacted on my search. They left a bad taste in my mouth with marking up the money factor on top of not budging on MSRP. She said we received a customers car in and their financing fell through, would you like to check it out?

I asked the specs and it included the DCT, executive package, and lighting package, none of which I would have ordered if it was my build. Nevertheless, I left work to check it out since it was the first M3 in my area. Once I arrived the SA asked if I wanted to drive it. I'm 100% sure she knew what she was doing.

Long story short, I now have a mineral white f80 sitting in my driveway and I'm having trouble sleeping because of the excitement. I ended up paying msrp, but did get to use the $1000 un4gettable test drive rebate. What makes it even better is that one of the other dealerships contacted me about an allocation and I was able to tell them that not only do I not want it, but that I'm taking delivery today. He didn't believe me at first because all of his cars are still at the port waiting to be released.

I traded in a 335is and the first thing I noticed is the improved suspension and overall rigidity of the M car. Just 1180 more miles to go and I will get to drive her how she is meant to be driven. I can't wait! Here are a couple pics. They are crappy cell pics, but that's all I had at the time.

I'm going from a 335is to an M4 next week in Germany and I'm curious about more of your impressions coming from a 335is (i.e., sound, DCT, suspension--passive or active?)

I'm doing the same, sold my 335is last month and am picking up my M4 next Tuesday at the Welt. Love to hear the comparisons.

Nice man! Congrats! Let me know if you want to take a road trip up to The Villages to do a full detail on that bad boy. I just got some new Auto Finesse Desire that I've been waiting to test out.
