N54 Engine build

Just a few pictures of the engine build for an out of town customer.
Has a fair bit of damage in number 3 cylinder looks like a spark plug or injector issue.

As we get further into the build i will keep you posted

Is he keeping it stock or is going with some more high performance internals?

Wow, is it getting rebuilt because of the damage or was that just something found upon tearing down the engine?

I was getting some suspension work last week and saw it, looked like a spark plug blew up, not a pretty sight.

Errr, that's kind of concerning lol. Would be good to know if they were OEM plugs and what kinda tune the engine was running as well as aggressiveness etc.

The level of tune was relatively sedate, and he had the typical mods FMIC DP's PE etc etc.

Unfortunately it was running rough and upon diagnosis discovered a nasty surprise. By memory his car had extremely low kays also which is somewhat surprising!

AFAIK he's replacing the internals with oem items and going for RB's

TBH when I was talking to the owner and recommended that he go to Advan, he had told me he'd dropped a valve... (I don't believe the root cause of the issue was the spark plug)

As for cost I'm sure Pete will let everyone know if he wishes to.
