The hellcat will definitely beat the M5. You are talking 707 hp

Ya, a hellcat has every right to challenge an M5. 10.8 1/4 mile and 3.7s 0-60.

The Hellcat will be an interesting car to play around with once it comes out. I hear that the engine is actually underrated. It may be making as much as 750hp. However, have you seen the width of the rear tires at all??? It's a joke.

Have to keep in mind that the test times for the Charger and Challenger Hellcat were done on a prepped surface and won't be duplicated on the streets, ever. Mags have since tried to launch those things like you and I would and they are getting high 3's (still fast) and 12's.

Not my style. It's for those who want to roll up to work looking like a fast and furious extra.

If the power figures are accurate then the tires are really holding this car back. 700+ HP (I saw a Jolopnik article that said they dyno'd one at 800+) and 650 lb-ft of torque but acceleration numbers similar to the M5 and they weigh almost the same? Doesn't seem right.

That shows you how much work they put into the drivetrain of that car.

I pulled a 11.00 1/4 mile with 3.1s 0-60 with a lighter m5 and similar power.
0.2 is big difference and Charger is heavier.

BMW better step it up big time.
