My M4 goes down vs. deer :(

Went around a turn and right at the Apex in a wooded area dead deer smack in the center lane with cars on both sides. tried to center hoping to hop his body and he cracked it bumper [initial estimate says its actually not too bad], pushed the intercooler back and up, deer up in the bay.

deer all over the bottom and inside lol.

Yeah it was take on a guard rail and big ass oak trees or slam into other people or line it up as best as possible.

Not sure what it woulda' looked like if it was elsewhere on that road since its usually a play spot, that just happened to be a turn when you go around state troopers sit, so I was going abnormally slow.

had the exact same damage but with a tire on the road ... cooler has to be replaced. I am waiting now since end of September for the replacement last time they ordered/received the new one .. I have appointment this Friday, lets see if the right part came from Germany ..

Its brutal out here with the deer by us man. Especially over in our county where they don't let people kill them. They have no natural predators except cars lol.

Update: Ran fresh oil through it dealer said engine doesn't sound good... Going to replace oil cooler first then entire engine 30k + 8k labor lol

Deer got taken out by someone else, came around the apex of a turn and his body was in the middle of the road so I hit his body (head was taken off by someone else lol) mid-section dead center cracked the bumper in half and broke the oil cooler, spilling oil and coolant and shit everywhere.

So today they pumped fresh oil through it and said its still running weird, so they're going to replace the oil cooler first and then go right to fresh engine.

But frame suspension everything else is fine... I hit that sucker at at least 50mph which speaks to the quality of the car.

LOL I've almost hit multiple ones you know around our area you can't stroll on down by saks and take the AR15 out and crack a deer like you can out in the boonies of VA/MD lol so they're everywhere.

IDK man, our front belly pan is an integral solid metal piece and we're heavily supported in the chassis/framing area.

Yet you ran over a partially dismembered soft body animal at high speed and the engine doesn't sound good?

I'd expect the bumpers, radiators, and oil coolers to be gone....but you best not be getting a new engine

Yeah I think the dealer was just saying "worst case scenario" Oil cooler should be in next week so I'm hoping it'll be a quick bolt on and have it back by the 20th and sold by the 21st haha.

I was just thinking about this and your repairs on my way back from the park, and guess what was on the road and even worse, on a bridge and from the other way a car was coming too. I stopped completely in between the two lanes to warn off the other driver and to allow the bloody car destroyer access out. Things got cleared nicely, and now he's probably on some other bumper than mine.

Guys, watch out, thinking about the op and his car will make Deer happen.

I just want the car repaired so I can dump it, already agreed in principle on a GTR. I don't need a damaged vehicle lol. I feel like this is going to take another 2 weeks at least and worse if it requires a new engine...
