I was driving and got a message on my NAV screen saying there's a car in distress in 1.9km then later a warning comes up in my instrument cluster, see pic... The road was clear... It freaked me out and thought there's something wrong with the car ?
Do you think this is related to ARTTI? If yes, then where does it get this info from and obviously it is incorrect ...

Have on many occasions had alerts of stalled cars. accidents ahead that were well out of date i.e. when I got to the point of the accident it was long clear - system really could be better - no doubt works variably across the country but fairly inconsistent in Houston at least.

Same here. More than once I've had the warning to the effect of "car fire ahead!" Only for it to be nothing. I never heed these much.

I know exactly what that message is indicating.

It was notifying you that there are two M F8x drivers ahead of you. One owned a 2015 the other a 2016. They had stopped their cars on the shoulder in order to switch cars. They were attempting to determine the answer to the 'is the exhaust different on the 2016 F8x cars?' question.

The warning on your dash was simply letting you know about this event. The full message would have instructed you to rev your engine as you drove by them in hopes of giving them an additional datapoint to consider in their quest.

Now that you know you will be ready for next time...

They are darn annoying especially when it pops out on the cluster ! And interrupts the music... It looks very useful but it seems it never worked for anyone...
