HUD & windshield tint

I am about to take delivery of my M4 and was wondering if tinting the front windshield would cause visibility issues with the HUD?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

People asked this before. To answer your question, no it won't.

My front is tinted with 3M Crystalline. No issues. The front Hud is a reflection off the front glass. Unless the tint actually effects the reflection, most tints are safe.

I didn't do it but was considering Spectra Photosync for the front windshield. Asked about HUD, parking gate / garage stickers, radar detector and toll transponder and was told by installer none would be affected.

Ditto. I saw no impact to my HUD visibility after 3M Ceramic 80% applied to windshield

Just had the LLumar AIR80 installed last week. No issues with my radar detector, garage door opener, sun pass (highway tolls), or HUD.
