faint beep. beeeeeeeeep.
Ok, so I've only had the car for a month or so and I like it a lot. Still in the honeymoon stage as I'm only halfway through break-in. There's only one issue that I have with it and it happens intermittently.
beeping. Now, it's not loud at all. It is very very faint, and at times, imperceptible. But randomly, after startup and driving, I hear this long beep, either coming from the speakers or the rear. It's obviously electrical, and it goes away after a while. It's not from the speakers as usually I have the radio off/mute, and not from the PDC (since it happens while driving). No other safety system is active (lane departure, blind spot monitoring, etc.) while the beeping occurs. Other times the beeping doesn't occur at all. I swear I thought I was going senile and hearing shiet, but my wife confirmed that she heard it too. The pitch sounds something like a high "G" note (G6). Any info would be appreciated.

Not to be mean but you have looked all over the interior for a lost electronic device, right? Maybe a wayward watch or phone that is beeping.

I had this same beep beeeeeeeeeeep in my F30. It emanates from the center console some where and probably has to do with the electronics. I tried to explain it to my SA. He didn't hear it. In my experience, this is only something that you can hear when it's dead quiet. I haven't noticed it on the F80 because the exhaust or active sound is so much louder.

no. nothing lost, plugged in, or anything. it happened when I had just gotten the car with absolutely no accessories even remotely near it or connected to it.

When I hear a beep beep beeeep beep it is usually my iPhone interfering. Try either leaving your phone at home and drive around or put the phone in airplane mode.

OMG this has been driving my OCD crazy as well. I thought it was only my car. I had a RVC camera installed and thought it was a weak ground. i have the same super faint sound that's usually constant however it goes in and out at times. its not as loud as the video makes it seem, but it's definitely noticeable.
at first i thought it was road the surface or radio feedback. 16 F80. i'll try phone in AP mode |

it was the A/C. turn on the HVAC and make sure the AC compressor was on. shut it off after a second or two and the sound goes away.
