Blackvue Issue

Has anyone found the reset (if there is one) for the 650 2-CH?

I've sent Blackvue an e-mail, but I wanna try and resolve the issue before Monday. It's no looking good.

I installed it this morning just fine, she was up and running. The all of a sudden, while I was changing some of the settings (time - voice, ect.) it stopped connecting.

My iPhone is connected to it via wifi, but the app just says "Cannot locate Blackvue"

Any advice?

Yea. No luck.

Blackvue (US) site has been down.

Late last evening, I downloaded the firmware off the UK site. I put in on a new card in the laptop.

When you place the micro card in the camera, it'll automatically update.

That worked! Now she running like a charm.

With anyone that has this set up and using the Power Magic Pro, how long have you seen your cameras recording in parking mode, before it shuts off?

I have it set for 12 volts and/or 12 hours.

Doesn't look like it made it nearly 5 hours.

Whenever mine would misbehave I would just pull the power cord and wait for it to power down. The plug it back in.

Tried that several times.

Even left it unpowered for 30 minutes.

No joy.

Firmware on a new SD Card did the trick.

I had the same issue. The cam would freeze and formatting the memory stick fixed it. Also, I had connected the dash-cam using 12v socket but it would freeze, once I hardwired it fixed my problems.

I'm guessing it's a power issue and the memory card gets corrupted because of it.

What memory card do you have?

I'm hardwired too.

I think it was a Bluetooth issue... While uploaded the updated firmware from the app.

I'm using the 64gig that came with the bundle...

Luckily the camera had a 16 inside of it.

I used that in laptop, for new firmware again... That resolved the issue

Just an FYI... Maybe for new firmware, put it on the different SD card... For the update... At least that's what I'll be doing

I've had 4 Blackvues over the past few years, two currently operating - one in my Wife's Mazda and one in my 911.

The Mazda, being brand new like the M4 is very sensitive to voltage drops and battery degradation - being start-stop (iLoop) the Battery Management System will throw an error when even a minor drop in battery charge occurs.

The Porsche has no problems - being a 'traditional' car from 2009.

I use the Power Magic on the Porsche without an issue, it will sit happily in park mode for the 12 hours.

The Mazda though will cut out very quickly. I ended up using a rechargeable battery type thing that only tops up when the car is running. See here for details. There's probably something similar available in the US.

My M4 arrives in December and I'll probably go this route with it rather than the Power Magic Pro.
