Rear View Mirror Problems with Built in Escort RD System?

I have an Escort 9500 ci installed with the display in the rear view mirror.

Works great, love the stealth, etc

BUT in the last couple of weeks it seems to me that the images in the rear view mirror can be blurry - specifically, any headlights in the mirror are a little 'doubled'

I think they actually swapped out my OEM mirror with another one when they did the install - but is this a common problem? Anyone seen/heard of this with the radar display in the mirror?

(my initial reaction is there should be no more problems from this display in the mirror than from, say, the compass display/etc)

Plan to go back to the installer to ask them but in the meantime thought I would poll you peeps to see if this is a common problem.
