Market for Harmon Kardon speakers?

Is there a market for the factory Harmon Kardon (upgraded) speakers for someone who might upgrade to the BAVSOUND system?

I sold mine on here for a few hundred. Not sure what the buyer wanted them for but there was a buyer.

I had BavSound on my standard WiFi audio on my 2013 335i, and the difference was suberb.

How is the quality difference between the original HK to the Bav Sound? Could you please give us a review?

Im yet debating if I should do or not.

I'm really interested in this as well. How's bavsound compared to HK? I got my BV delivered but the car is still in the shop. Looking forward to installation.

For the price, I was not all that impressed. Maybe I'm spoiled, we have the Mark Leavethon Premium system (800 watts) in our Lexus that just blows away the BMW HK with Bav speakers. Very pricey for very little improvement. If I had heard them prior to ordering, I never would have bought them. Wondering if I'll be in the same boat once the new subs come in.

I'm actually choosing to do the reverse and maybe get the subs first then a stage 1 later.

I'm hoping the subs work out better then the speakers. But without an improved amp, maybe not. I wanted the sound to be great, it is just slightly better. Little cleaner with volume up. If you get a chance to hear them first, might save you some change.

I'm waiting for a good solution to tie in an amp. I'm convinced that nothing is going to sound great in this car until the HK amp is replaced.

I've got to read more about "decoding" HK down to HiFi, as it was done in earlier F30 cars, to disable MOST to the amp in order to run analog for a full system upgrade.

I may be out of luck if an amp upgrade does become available. Since I have a vert, I'm very limited on trunk space. Unless I never want the top down again! I may just have to suffer with inferior sound equipment.

Nah, there's always a way. I like to use JL xD amps, they're basically as small as the OEM amp but with a much bigger punch. I've done 3 cars with them now and it's an easy upgrade. Easy, that is, if you know how to wire an amp.

I got some good news from Technic as well, we can look forward to a PNP harness potentially in January! Still have to either Mobridge D/A or decode the system to analog HiFi to get rid of the MOST ring tho.
