For folks that have the executive package and M electronic steering wheel, do the features overlap or does the electronic steering wheel provide other features as well?

How do you like it and how is the Alcantara holding up after months or year of use? Trying to understand if this is just a novelty/cool looking item or does it provide any useful benefit. thanks
